Highly recommended
Amazing food and service! Always welcoming and very happy to accomodate as needed. It has been a pleasure every time we've been there... Our favorite cheese fondues are the "eurospaniard" and the "perigord, with truffles! (heaven!)". Will keep recommending it over and over!!! Plus its BYOB! LOVE it!

Delicious!
I love this place. It has a nice cozy atmosphere and most importantly, the fondue is excellent. My French friends and I approve.

Like Candid Camera or Punked
It's not interesting or creative or different. The table that provides the heat for the cheese does not work well. There is not enough room on the table for the cheese plus sides, wine , water, bread. It was like Candid Camera or Punked. I was waiting for someone to walk out and tell us it's all a joke. I like Didier and his staff is nice but this is not dinner experience in NYC on any level..This is a wreck. Go to La Sirene , it's their sister restaurant, light years better. That is a nice dinner with friends in NYC... Taureau belongs in a mall in Nebraska. There is where people would think it was "neat".

Cozy and Delish
Had an absolutely spectacular experience. I've been twice and had a great time, great meal and been very well attended to. Strongly recommend a visit.

Don't go there for dessert
Did not know that a restaurant could kick you out for just wanting to have dessert at 9:30 at night. Even made a reservation ahead of time to try out the "awesome" fondue at this place, only to sit down & get our order taken for the chocolate fondue by the waitress, and then have the owner come out and tell us "this is not a coffee bar, it's a restaurant, you have to have dinner or you can't stay here." Wow, did that just happen? Thanks for letting me know when I made the reservation (or even stating the requirement of dinner on the website), which I purposely made for the 9:30 pm slot to have dessert. Thanks also for literally kicking us out while everyone in the restaurant stared thinking what horrible wrong we could have committed. What a great birthday night ruined. Never going there again, for dinner or dessert. No thank you.

excellent dining experience
This is the first time I've eaten at Taureau and I must say .. it was an EXCELLENT dining experience. My girls and I ordered the pre fixe dinner ($37). It started out with an indulgent cheese fondue (so delicious we had to order another pot!), continued with a steak entree, and ended with a chocolate fondue that just screams of yumminess! The food is reason enough to come to this place .. but once the diner experiences the service .. the dinner is brought to a whole new level. From the owner, to the staff one just feels so special! Bring your girlfriends, special someone, family and friends... great place for any occasion!
