It's good to try
I tried the lunch box. It was good. With its price, you get a complete lunch meal. Good to try.

Good sushi place
i went to tataki with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. We try soy paper wrap name volcano roll, it's really fresh and spectacular taste. We love their chicken pad thai. We had green tea martini as our celebration drinks. It's really refreshing and outstanding...try it guys!!

Great Food
Have eaten here many times and bring people all the time and ALWAYS have great food. Service is great and very polite. The special board has some great rolls on it. It is a great place to go and relax and eat Japanese food.

Fantastical
My friend and i go here once a week religiously. We stumbled across this place in a twist of fate and were overwhelmed by the amazing sushi, sashimi and service. We made a vow to visit this place at least once a week and have not faltered yet. The hot sake is from a box, but delicious nonetheless, and just as potent as expensive bottled sake, i promise you. I highly recommend the Tataki kick out sushi roll and the spicy lobster roll. Enjoy!

Great Neighborhood Sushi
The only thing right about the prior negative review is that the shumai is mediocre. I figured this out awhile ago and just don't order it. However, if you can get over the shumai, the rest of the choices are great. The spicy tuna with crunchy appetizer is top notch. The Tataki knock-out roll is excellent. The quality of the fish is superb. I think this is a great neighborhood sushi restaurant and while if I'm looking for destination japanese, Blue Ribbon and Nobu are better choices, for your basic every day sushi fix, this can't be beat.

Not good food
My fiance and I ordered from Tataki and had it delivered to our nearby apartment. Miso soup was fine - pretty difficult to screw that up. Shrimp shumai was flavorless and the dumpling exterior tasted like gum. Tuna sashimi was not fresh. California and boston rolls were ok. Would not order from here again, or visit the restaurant for that matter.

Great Sushi
This little place has the best, freshest sushi I've ever had. I've been to three other, big name sushi places in Tribeca, and this place stacks up well. Great value, especially if you go before 4pm. Thank God I work within walking distance. The service is excellent. The one time I had to wait more than 15 minutes for my food, they couldn't apologize enough for the delay (they were packed). The next time I came in, they apologized AGAIN.
