Should have tried it earlier. Awesome!
I've been living in the area for 2 years now and never tried this place. Damn :) I just had the best Mongolian Beef that I had in NYC so far. Seriously. I don't even feel like trying other stuff, but order that on a regular basis. Not sure, why this place also has poor reviews... maybe the dish? Everything else is like any other Chinese take-out place.

Many Late Nights
I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant many a nights when I look forward to a bowl and a delicious special from Tasty King. The atmosphere is friendly and I totally know that hurt look on the guys face when he thinks you forgot to tip him. Delicious food i suggests egg drop soup with a Ginger ale with a sesame chicken or Szechwan beef with pork fried rice and an egg roll

It takes real talent....
...to make chinese food this bad. I was looking for quick, cheap take-out last night, and decided to try Tasty King after read the reviews here. I don't know what the reviewers are thinking, but the only good thing about this place is the sheer weight of food they give you. No doubt, you get a lot of mass for your money. But if that mass tastes like this stuff tastes, what's the point? The cold sesame noodles were, well, odd. The first bites were not bad, but then I started noticing a weird grittiness. I don't know what it is, but every noodle was covered in some sand-like substance. It wasn't the sesame seeds -- there were only a few of those. This was tiny black specks all over everything. After a few bites I couldn't take it any more. The hunan chicken was even worse. It takes some incredible skill to make a sauce that red taste like absolutely nothing at all. I really felt like I was eating chicken, carrots and other veggie slices soaked in water. Good for empty calories, but not much else. On the plus side, the people were friendly and extremely fast. So there's that I guess. Overall, don't order from here, there are so many other good options nearby, even if it costs you a buck more per dish, its totally worth it to go somewhere else.

Good food for the price
Friendly people and good food for the price. I would suggest the Curry Chicken Lunch Special and the Bean Curd and Broccoli. Ive been eating here for the last two years and its consistent and yummy!

Great for take out
Love this place. I found it when they gentrified my avenue a place out of existence. this is near ave b but who knows, maybe there will be a star bucks there in a year-I hate what's going on here. Oh I regress. I had no hopes for this place at all and tried it out of desperation. What a pleasant surprise, They speak great enlish, are fast and have a very humourous old style delivery man like from a movie. Don't stiff him on the tip though the look of dissapointed confusion is something you do not want to experience.

WOW! That is all I can say...
I took this pamphlet from downstairs in Palladium dorm and was just so surprised by how cheap it was for the lunch specials. 4.75 for General Tso's chicken + chicken fried rice (best I've had from a chinese take out place) + hot and sour soup, TAX INCLUDED?!?!?! WHAT THE!?!?!?!?! How are they not LOSING money at those sort of prices. They stuffed the box so full I was stuffed after eating it. I'm a built 5'11 190 pounds so it's not like I eat like a bird either. The food is simply amazing. I can't describe how good of a deal I feel this is. I hope more NYU students order from them. The delivery guy was really nice too. I really have no complaints about this place at all. Tons of food. Amazing Taste. Dirt Cheap. What's there to lose by trying it out one day for lunch? Less than $5 and it'll be the best $5 you ever spent.

Desperate?
Whoever the people were who gave this place a good review must have had some serious munchies. I'd only order from this place if every other Chinese delivery place suddenly closed down.
