I work in the area so it was only a matter of time before I discovered this place. After today this place has become a serious contender for favorite South Asian food in Tribeca. I'm South Asian so I can attest to the authenticity of the food. It's piping hot and tastes fresh. The combo meals have generous portions and are really well priced ($6). The counter staff are pleasant and quick. I haven't tried all the dishes yet but I will definitely be back for more!!!

Beats any sit down indian restaurant ive sampled in nyc thus far. If you can sacrifice ambience for food that tastes like it was cooked from home and a warm friendly atmosphere, Taste of Tandoor is sincerely recommended. Great lunch break stop or when you don't wanna break the bank. Many different combos, try what you didn't want to ask for at the fancy restuarant you went to last month.

first off, the naan and roti were burnt. the chicken makhani wasnt cooked properly. then, they decided to raise the price as well as the delivery requirements because we ordered at 10pm, on top of it, they added a delivery fee and the delivery guy was rude. the delivery person gave the front desk a hard time as well and in the end i decided to just not tip the guy.

This restarant was excellent everyone should go here because everything is very tasty. One thing i dont like is the atmosphere....its a little off but the food is GREAT!

Texture was on the watery side (as in separated, not as in runny). Not much difference in flavors and texture. I like the spices, good balance for a whitey like me. I liked the gesture of fresh vegetables in the salad.

I went in and got the makhani to go. I asked the guy behind teh counter if the meat was white, he said yes. I know the whole thing cost me about 5 bucks but he gave a lot less food than other indian fast food places and of course, the meat was a mix of dark and white. The sauce wasnt very good, oily and less spicy than what I'm used to. Not a great value when you think about it and I never went back.

I went in here cuz i was craving indian food. The food was just ok...i've had better. Sag Paneer was too thick and needed more flavor, and the veggie curry cudve also been more flavorful.
