After living in Japan for a few years, I have pretty high standards when it comes to sushi, sashimi, etc. Taro Sushi has never let me down -- a great array of fresh sashimi, well cut and presented. Great rice, as well, which is far from the norm. Their unagi (eel) is lovely, and the tempura is very good. I love the array of appetizers, especially the fact that they include dishes that are hard to find outside a home kitchen in Japan, like kinpira. The cost of a meal can add up, but it's worth every penny, which can't be said about many Japanese eateries in any of the five boroughs. Delivery is so fast -- sometimes only 10/12 minutes for a cooked meal -- that I almost feel that I am hallucinating. Never once have I had to call back to track down a delivery.

Or perhaps most of NYC for that matter? I've been coming here for many years and at the very least, I can say that Taro offers the best QPR on raw fish in this town.

Came here expecting great sushi and was disappointed by its mediocre quality. Rolls were all too chewy, salmon was subpar, and the tap water they served had metallic taste and was utterly non-potable.

Best quality sushi I have ever ordered for delivery, and there are many to choose from around here. I ordered the Rainbow Roll and Mountain Roll with a Miso soup, on a Friday evening just before 7:00, and they were at my door in under 10 min. Very fresh, nice presentation of the rolls, and served with fresh white ginger and real wasabi. On par with Oshima and Blue Ribbon Sushi in terms of quality, but better value.

Great sushi. Almost as good as blue ribbon but at more reasonable prices
