Best Mexican Food In The Universe
I love it here it is the best food i have ever tasted . If you want to try something different go to Taqueria Y Fonda La Mexicana. It is AN ORIGINAL restraunt do u hear any restauraunts called Taqueria Y fonda La Mexicana...yeah thought so . so u should really try the chicken plate that is the best.

This is the real deal. Real Mexican food, like you would get it in restaurants, even those great spots outside bus stations (no fooling) the people are great, if you can't deal there is always a chain restaurant, I have been ordering from mi gente for 10 years.

excellent Mexican
I am a regular. OK, so the delivery guys are a little slow...no matter...the chorizo taco is reliable and so tasty. There is a special dish with clams, mussells and pieces of salmon in a spicy tomatillo sauce. You have to ask for it, they usually have it and it is always good. I love this place!

Great Hole in the Wall
This place is a hole in the wall Mexican place and the food is delicious and very authentic. I think when you order delivery it loses something, so I'd recommend going there. Its small but feels homey. There is a very spicy dish called "Alacran" which is phenomenal and an absolute must: pork with spicy peppers and 2 kinds of mexican cheese. Amazing. Better than any other mexican dish I've had anywhere in the city. In general, I think if you like mexican and you don't mind a small, bare-bones place you'll love it here.

part 2
went back and had the torta de pollo. it was straight up not good. weirdly marinated chicken thighs... but hey, apparently the cheese burrito with no lettuce and no rice (wtf is that?) is good.... eesh.

Good food but poor delivery service
Love their food, but pretty disappointing when it comes to their delivery service. Not only they take their time, but when I call to check the status of my order, they are pretty rude about it. Because of the smallness of their restaurant, I usually order in, but because of their simple rudeness, I stopped ordering from Taqueria and started ordering from elsewhere. Still, all in all, Taqueria serves pretty decent food but with pretty crummy services.

Best Mexican on UWS, maybe NYC
Definitely one of the best mexican restaurants in NYC. Don't be afraid to try something new, as this menu and the specials won't disappoint.
