Every single person I've sent here has been happy to know it is here. Twice I have had conversations with others about their favorite pizza and salad in NY and found it was a Tappo-family storefront that topped their list. If you like creative salads and thin crust pizza slightly charred, this is for you. At lunchtime a large salad and large pie (at the table) runs you $20! Split that three ways and tell me it isn't the best deal? A cold draft beer, a plain pie, and one of their amazing salads. Perfection.

We do enjoy the pizza here. We have to tell them not to burn the bottom because if you do not, it comes out almost black and my 7 year old won't touch it. Now for the bad part, my wife ordered a regular mixed greens salad and it came out with hardly ANY dressing on it. So she asked for a little more dressing, told the guy why and they CHARGED us for it! Are you kidding me?!!? They charged us for dressing on a salad, never ever have I seen that before. Our friend ordered the kale & manchego salad and it was sprinkled with a very few bits of manchego and she asked for a little more cheese, and yes, again they CHARGED for it. Lastly, we asked for 1 small piece of extra bread for our hummus and they brought out 5 slices and CHARGED us again a couple of dollars for that! I could not believe it. How could you run a place like this and expect people to return?!?! The worst part is we didn't know we were being charged for this stuff until the check came. They didn't warn us about it. It is not the money rather the principal. They really need to get better service and management or they will not be able to pay rent with just above average pizza. Never again.

Food is very good, but very expensive. Take out for 2 ppl is b/w 45-60 dollars. Not what I would expect from a place like this. Worst part is, even thought they say they are open till 10pm, when you call to order past 9pm, half the time they tell you that the pasta or salad kitchen is closed. If you say that you close at 10 (especially on friday or Saturday) then close the kitchen at 10. Beware.

I have eaten here 6 times, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why people eat here. The pizza is inedible with weird burned cheese, the pasta sauces and the salad dressing is too sweet, and amazingly delicious pizza can be had across the street at Granduca!

I have only tried the pizza here but it's my favorite in the city so far. Nice space as well. Vintage architecture such as sky high ceilings, old tile work and antique doors.

Amazing food! Great service-both in the restaurant and fast delivery. Definitely try it
