Been there a week ago and I still crave the Chorizo Vino!!! Good vibe and great looking people make this place my first option when going out casual with friends or for a date. Cant wait for summer when they open all the doors. The red sangria is great, 2 glasses and I was out!!! Not a cheap no sangria like the one I had the other place ( and I would not mention the name ) Staff is great and easy going all wine can be tasted and sells by the glass (rare in NYC) Food might take a bit long if they are packed but its well worth the time.

I took my friend here for her birthday. It was so cute and cozy inside. They were playing nice Spanish music. We had some great wine and ordered some dishes. We really loved the salted cod croquettes, selection of cheeses, and garlic shrimp. I would def. go back. It's reasonable priced and we weren't rushed at all. The tables are a little small but the other atmosphere and food makes up for it. Check it out.

I have been to Tapeo many times over the past couple of months. I recomeend this place to my family & friends & anyone that wants to hang out & have some drinks. Only thing that was werid was recently my cousin had put the bill on her debit card. When she looked online @ the statement it showed an extra 20% was added (the tip was left in cash). We went & spoke to the owner, who was very nice but explained that this does happen with Visa/Mastercard & the extra charge would drop off in a couple of days. I have never seen this & I am an avid foodie going to restaurants all the time. Never-the-less the charge was eventually corrected & the owner stayed in good contact. Overall I love this place & for any restaurant/bar keep you receipts & check them with your statements:)

Simply a fun, friendly place. Genuine original food, great wine list and warm welcome. A place to sit and sample.

This place is just what I was looking for, chill out non-corporate great quality of people ( Great great place for first dates and friends hangout ) The food is the extremely simply and just plain good, not like other places with BS plating and micro samples, very well balanced and great, its just like Spain and even better. Great wine list, good helpful staff, amazing Sangria (I liked the red better than the white.) True experience in the full meaning of the word, sometimes food taks a bit of time but the people and the vibe is well worth the extra few minutes……. After all its all about having fun and hangout with the right crowd. We had a blast!!!

I haven't actually been to Tapeo 29, although I have heard it's great place for spanish wines and cheeses (my friend had a wine workshop there), my comment is regarding the review stating: the ham "tasted like something very old", in fact, all Jamon Serrano hams (and other types of cured meats) are cured (aged) for at least a year, usually longer, developing a musty earthy flavor which is savored by gourmets. For that case wines also taste of something "very old"...and the older the better many times..salute!
