This place is awesome. Great atmosphere, intelligent and vivid and the food is delicious! The music was appropriate and people didn't stop coming in, until late hours (we stayed there until 2am on Friday!). After being slightly disappointed with the LES scene lately, my friends and I can definitely say that we found our new hot spot. Our favorite dish was the Chorizo Al Vino, but everything else we had is highly recommended (Brochetas De Pollo, The Shrimps, the filled red pepper). I gave it 4.5 stars for some things and not 5 just because we were sitting with another couple in the same table (the place was packed!), but it actually ended up being a nice evening and we met a couple of new friends :). Either way, I'm so happy we found this place, check it out!

It is by far one of the coolest places in town. And not just for the happy hour service but because their food is delicious. The gambas al ajillo are mouth watering delights and the chorizo in red wine is beyond amazing. Group or date night you will defnitely Enjoy this tapas bar.

Tapeo 29 was awesome. Went there last night with a girlfriend for happy hour. They have a wide, well placed bar that you can easily have dinner at (as we did). The sangria was very good and gigantic and the wine was phenomenal, although the portion could have been a little bigger. The bartender/waitress seemed a little overwhelmed to begin, but I appreciate she gave us a last call for happy hour. Have the chorizo al vino and the skirt steak. And the El Albar wine. will definitely go back here.

Overpriced, overcharged, and over it. Tried to speak to a manager to explain some errant charges on the bill and she just backed her server. Will never go again. She was rude and arrogant. Who says the customer is always right, not at this place.

I lived all over Spain for a year and a half and have been searching for authentic tapas in NYC for years. This is by far the best place in town! All of the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. I will definitely be going back-- often!

I haven't been to a restaurant in New York City (other than Zarza) that has had good, somewhat authentic tapas. While the food was authentic with a twist, it was absolutely phenomenal. We had the mussels, the shrimp in garlic which were by far the best tasting I've had in a while. The sangria couldn't have been more smooth, refreshing and light. You didn't feel like you were drinking boxed wine and sugar. I would definitely go bad. The only drawback is that it's TOO dark and extremely small.

This place was just great! Every dish we had was delicious, and came out quickly. The service was fantastic, and very friendly. Atmosphere was cozy and warm. I recommend going there for happy hour and taking advantage of their $5 tapas and drinks. The meatballs are flavorful and cooked perfectly, the chirizo is spicy and extremely rich, and the calamari is light and is accompanied with a great dipping sauce. As for the drinks, the Sangrias are huge, and the mojitos are a must- all the fruit flavors are amazing and I recommend the raspberry over all others. We are definitely going back!
