    Hidden Gem

I've been eating here and ordering delivery from here for years. It always surprises me that the restaurant is nearly empty every time I am there. The food is absolutely delicious!! The homemade pasta is incredible - I always opt for the spinach linguine with vodka sauce. The chicken dishes are also to die for. Highly recommend and here is hoping they never close their doors!

Now they even charge for bread!

I have frequently ordered delivery from them because the pasta is decent, and the delivery service is generally fast and reliable. But they have stopped including bread with their pasta and now charge you additionally if you want some! Who ever heard of a restaurant not including bread with your pasta. I am no longer patronizing this restaurant.

Used to live in the area and miss it a lot. Loved, loved, loved their pasta.

    pass it!

The pasta was undercooked. The bread was dry. The waiter was unpleasent and forgot to serve the drinks. Only after we were done with the food I had to remined him about the drink he all forgot about! We had a lot of the pasta left on the plates when we were finished and we were not willing to take it with us. It's not good.

    not good

My boyfriend and I were looking for a romatic and good restaurant for valentines day. We made reservations for tanti bacci which we had heard good things about. Our bill came out to almost $120, and it was worth it, we dont mind expending money on good food, but this was far from it. The place was super small, "flower room" they just call it that im guessing because of the flowered wallpaper? The portions were very small, no taste to it and my boyfriends dish came out cold. There are so many other restaurants but yet we went to this one, i guess you live and you learn .. don't do it to yourself.

Not as good as it used to be

I've been going here for 12 years & it's always been simple, reliable Italian. But we went this weekend & noticed changes: leatherbound menus instead of the usual paper ones, and suddenly there's "The Chef" who has very specific ideas about what sauces go with what pastas, and the waiter tells you upfront "The Chef will refuse to serve that sauce with that pasta." (Mind you, there's never been "A Chef" - only a couple guys behind the counter that cooked everything). So I ordered a putanesca without anchovies, and when it came I got a mouthful of... anchovies. I asked the waiter about it who took it back and returned saying, "The Chef insists that he did not put anchovies in your sauce." I said, "Well I just ate a giant mouthful of fish." So they conferenced over the dish and picked it apart and the waiter returned to say, "Upon further inspection, The Chef noticed that there was, in fact, a large amount of anchovies in your sauce." And the pasta+sauce combos that used to run about $9 are now up to about $15. So, what used to be a cozy and easy place to go for quick and reliable Italian has suddenly turned into a slightly prissy experience where the food tastes exactly the same, but costs twice as much and is accompanied by phrases like "The Chef will refuse to prepare that pasta with that sauce." Sooo.... you can tell "The Chef" that we probably won't be back again. Bummer... hate it when that happens to a good restaurant.
