I've been going to Tang Tang ever since it opened many years ago. I've moved several times, but always stop in to Tang Tang to pick up some Cold Sesame Noodles to go whenever we find ourselves on the upper east side. They are the best in the city. Another addicting dish is the "Crispy Tangy Beef". It is listed "as a must" on the menu and really is. It is deep fried strips of beef in a honey-like sweet sauce. It is so yummy over rice.

Being a vegatarian at a Chinese restaurant I can usually find only a few choices i.e. Broccoli/Egg Plant in Garlic Sauce (I like *hot* food). Here there are excellent choices for a vegetarian and I've had 4 dishes - all are great: 'Home Style Potato with Dry Bean Curd', 'Bean Curd in Black Bean Sauce', 'Home Style Bean Curd' and 'Broccoli in Garlic Sauce'. The 'Sesame Noodles' are just about the best I've had. I order take out and eat at the place often and I always order the 'Vegetable Tofu Soup'.
