Great Chinese Food for Cheap
U don't go here for its atmosphere, it's a small chinese joint that has very good chinese food for cheap prices. Service is very good. Shrimp and lobster sauce was very good, so was wonton soup, cold sesame noodles and roast duck, spare ribs were decent, nothing special. It's nice to not have to go down to china town for authentic chinese food.

Did not like the food
My husband swears by this place; however their generous use of chinese five spice seems to spoil the food. Please keep the anise out of savory food.

Fast but Poor Service
In terms of value it's a great place. The food, I thought was very average. Worst thing was that I ordered it from work & when the take out arrived it had no forks/chopsticks or plates...How do they think we're supposed to eat it?

Fresh, cheap, Authentic Chinese food
I found this place a few months ago and have been going at least once a week since. The food is incredibly fresh and the cuisine is authentic -- i.e., not americanized chinese food. Go for the saigon noodles, soy sauce chicken, ginger chicken or spicy indian pancake. Don't get any of the few americanized dishes they do offer (like chicken and broccoli). Excellent food!

Tang Tang Very Very Good Good
This is a wonderful Chinese restaurant, with fresh food and excellent service (for a Chinese restaurant--meaning it is extremely efficient). Singapore Mai Fun is great, Baby Bok Choy with Bean Curd likewise, soups are excellent, and Roast Pork is superb. All around solid place.

Reliable great food
I've been going to Tang Tang ever since it opened many years ago. I've moved several times, but always stop in to Tang Tang to pick up some Cold Sesame Noodles to go whenever we find ourselves on the upper east side. They are the best in the city. Another addicting dish is the "Crispy Tangy Beef". It is listed "as a must" on the menu and really is. It is deep fried strips of beef in a honey-like sweet sauce. It is so yummy over rice.
