Best UES Chinese by far
Nothing beats the fast delivery from Tangs. If you haven't had their handmade shrimp shu mai you are missing out on something incredible. Same goes for the beef in garlic sauce. I order weekly and have tried others but always come back to the best.

Subpar!
The food is dry and overcooked, the duck sauce is just pink goop with thickening, etc. The servers are excellent - but the owner should spend some time in this shabby down-at-heel restaurant - it is a lost opportunity. When it opened as Tang Tang it was very good - so what happened?

Quality Chinese
Have had a couple times for pickup. Only had a few things but everything is solid. Like their Sesame chicken, has a little kick to it which is great and usually has big portions. Solid Chinese for UES.

Only Chinese I will eat
I have been eating at this resturant for at least 15 years. The food is great and actually has some taste and spice to it. The chicken is always fresh and so is the beef. I recently turn my office on to it and we order at least twice a week. The portions are enormous and that is why the price is a little higher than normal but you get 2 or 3 meals out of the lunch portion. Also, I never eat their fried food and order their fried meals sauteed so those last reviews are just lies. Try it for yourself and you will not be disappointed.

Not recommended
I ordered the roast duck lunch, which seemed like a good price for meal. It arrived within 10 minutes, which was great, but when I opened the box, I found duck that had definitely not been cooked today. It was probably at least a day or two old, and had been reheated. I know duck isn't the most common thing to order, but every other chinese restaurant that serves it has delivered it fresh, and cooked that day. I was really disappointed, and would never order from here again.

the wonton roast chicken soup is a great hangover cure. try the fried pork dumplings and the peking porkchop.
