This was the first time I tried Indian food in my life, I was always afraid of curry before. I was amazed. The chicken and the lamb was incredible and was covered with delicious sauce. They also have this amazing beverage called a mango lassi, which is sort of like a yogurt and tasted like nothing I've ever tried before. I Loved Tandoori!

Finally found a great Indian spot on the upper west. Apparently it's been around for a while (they moved from Amsterdam), but I never new they had such amazing food. The service was excellent, respectful, and the portions were huge. The waiter even asked us how spicy we like our food and make it a really great experience! The Tandoori chicken was the best one I've ever tried. We are coming back here 100%, especially considering how good the price is over there.

Haven't tried this place in the evening, but the lunch buffet is spectacular here, and its only $9. I love the lamb dishes, and the Tandoori chicken (its namesake!) is delicious. I work around here and sometimes get delivery, and each time it was delivered quickly and was still hot. This is the best lunch place in the area for the money. Before we all started ordering from here, everyone in my office said they didn't like Indian food, and now we order from here all the time!

The food, decor, and bar were fantastic. The lamb stew was delicious and tender, and all the appetizers we got were really something special. The drinks from their bar were fabulous, we tried the Kamasutra and the Cosmopolitan. The place is furnished with beautiful paintings and traditional designs, and almost everyone who works there is authentically Indian. They also have some delicious curry, if you're into some spice! The service was timely, friendly, and exactly what we were looking for. Coming back for sure!

My favorite place to order from on the UWS. The lamb is delicious, the kebab makes your mouth water, all the curry dishes are nice and spicy (but not too spicy), they even have great shrimp. For $9, they have an amazing delivery only lunch deal that allows to choose from any meat from the menu. The place is really nice inside, they have a full bar, waitresses in traditional Indian dress, the service is very courteous, and they have pleasant music playing in the background. Love this place. They give you individualized attention like no other place in the area, and the chef really knows what he's doing and exactly what you want. And the price is unbeatable!

I love this place. Coming here is a treat. The service is exceptional and everyone is so attentive. The food is DELICIOUS and the chef will sometimes come out himself to ask how the food tastes. the place is small but the atmosphere is wonderful and the size of the place just makes the whole atmosphere that much more personal.

We accidentally came across this place as we were walking from the train. The nan was great, the lamb was very tender, and it was just the right amount of spice in every dish. The service was quick and very friendly--the waitress was smiling at us the whole time and was there whenever we needed her. The experience was very personal and cozy--it’s a relatively small place and gives the staff a chance to give you that personal touch. My husband kept ordering Mojitos from the bar, they are very reasonably priced for a restaurant on the UWS. We want to try the lunch buffet in the future, it’s only $8 or $9, a great price for lunch around this area.
