Tanaka Sushi

I'm not sure why this place hasn't gotten better reviews. The food is always fresh and great when I go, and I eat here at least once a week. I am a sushi lover, and while it is not Blue Ribbon or Nobu, for the size and prices it is yummy and a real steal.

I used to frequent this place at least 2x a week because of how good the deal was. The prices went up under the new management and I think the quality of the actual sushi went down. I ordered sushi from there and it was not very good and pricey. The lunch boxes are good and well priced at $8 for a sit down lunch. I recommend the shrimp tempura box, very tasty! However, do keep in mind that you will be charged for any minor change you wish to make to the box. Toodles!

Once a frequented lunch spot known for their inexpensive bento boxes available at all hours ($5.95), I was disappointed to learn that "under new management" now means nearly double the prices (9.95+) for many popular lunch and other items. If you don't mind the inflated prices, the food's okay - nothing amazing - though they tell me the pieces of chicken are much bigger now...

Ordered sushi and other dishes. As a Japanese native I have to say this is not really a Japanese restaurant.. it is something else. If you want authentic, or even regular Japanese food, try somewhere else. Watch out for "Japanese" restaurants run by non-Japanese!

Ordered out. Sushi was poorly presented and tasted very average - certainly not as good as Haru for example. I won't be ordering from here again.

Good bento box combo for lunch. Good food at good prices. My compliments to the chef(s).
