    Disapointing Food

Everything was burned to a crisp, despite my request for medium rare. They served the tandoori chicken burned, the lamb was tough and overcooked. the chicken was burned and dry. This place does not even know that Sheehs Kabob is lamb pieces not ground lamb.

    Best indian restaurant in town

I love this place.. The food here is delicious and price is reasonable. Their service is great. I went there last week. When I bite something spicy, tears came out of my eyes. The manager saw it and asked the kitchen cook something special.. Their service impress me. I will go there often:)

    D-lish & satisying

This was my 2nd time eating at Tamba. The decor is elegant & classy. Both times enjoyed the quality of food & the accommodating service. When you specify 'mild' this is how it is served. Both times I had a deal, which makes it an especially good bargain. I liked the food so much, would eat here w/out a coup :) Thus time we ordered butter chicken--outrageously good & a lamb Balti Gosht that was also very good. The red wine was pinot noir. I highly recommend U treat yourself & eat here.

    My New Favorite

It's difficult to find really good Indian food at a reasonable price. I love biryani dishes but most of them are awful at moderately priced restaurants. Bland and tasteless. A couple of good ones I found were way too spicy in spite of my request for mild. The chicken biryani at Tamba was delicious with complex flavors and spices. My only complaint is that it was way too salty but this should be easily remedied. My very picky friend ordered a vegetable korma and said it was excellent as well.

    My new favorite dish!

Really loved the Murg Methi with the Garlic naan. I usually get the Chicken Tikka Masala, but, wanted to try something new. The waiter suggested the Murg Methi. It was fabulous!

    I Love Food At Tamba

Tamba is one of the finer Indian food establishments in New York City. I thought the appetizers excelled. My favorite was the keema samosa. Each dish I sampled at Tamba had been thoughtfully created using artful combinations of spices and gravies, which bring out the essence of the meat, fish or vegetable. Lunch is a real deal at Tamba .For about $11 you can get a really satisfying buffet with rice, bread and a vegetable thrown in. I Love The Food at Tamba

The food was hands down, the best Indian food I've ever had. Each meat dish was quite tender and flavorful. The prices are more than we usually would pay for a meal, but with the Groupan deal it made it a lot more palatable. Even so, with our without a coupon/Groupon/discount deal, we will be coming back for more!
