Well after reading what was written I was a little apprehensive about going to this place but I must say seems like these reviews have been posted by someone who does not like the owner, everything we had rite from the pre appetizer to the desserts were awesome, the tandoori seabasss in particular and the crab appetizer was mind blowing great service no complaints. Keep up the good work , would love to go back soon. cheers

The place is huge and beautiful. Will surely be turned into a nightspot lounge soon. Having been a regular at the original spot, this one is, let's say is disappointing in terms of food quality and strange items. For example our chicken dish came with 4 formed chicken patties. Service was excellent, but spending 200 bucks for a dinner of chicken patties isn't something to be repeated.

Went there for a friends birthday and guess what, to even cut a birthday cake within their restaurant they would charge $4 per person. Now they have a policy of not bringing in outside food, but hell give us a break.. its a birthday cake!!!! We ordered a bunch of stuff along with the lamb chops as appetizers. Got the other appetizers right away but had to wait for the lamp chops for almost an hour. The funny part is that were asked again if we still wanted the lamb chops. We were like if we didnt want it why would we order it! Anyway.. get onto the main course. We ordered a goat biryani and a punjabi goat. We ended up getting both dishes as lamb dishes instead of goat. After having an argument with the waitress (she kept arguing that it was goat), she took it back to the kitchen where they realised their mistake and re-prepared both the dishes. To top it up, in the rush they burnt our goat biryani. I didnt try the goat curry coz by the time we got our dishes, the breads and rice were all cold. We have been big fans of the old Tamarind and have been going there for a long time. we wanted to try this new restaurant and were totally disappointed by their terrible service. We will not go back anymore.

Loved it......we are avid indian food lovers, this restaurant did not disappoint. The chicken tikka masala was great. Atmosphere a little noisy, and it was a Tuesday night, it was busy, not a bad thing, but not exactly romantic. I would certainly go again.

I'm convinced this Tamarind is better than the Flatiron location, which I also love. Everything we had was fantastic. Service was also great.

Hey, i am a food lover and keep trying new restaurants and good menu. I was at tamarind tribeca yesterday with family for our anniversary and wow what an experience!. Starting from appetizers murg malai, yam kababs, kashmiri tikki, crab & shrimp appetizers...Main course has venison chops, braised lamb shancks in indian rum, dover sole baked in clay pot & thikat kombdi are new to the menu that from tamarind at e22 park avenue. We enjoyed the dishes so much that got some for todays lunch too :) Well, Tamarind Tribeca has little hints of Tamarind at park av. as far as cutlery, staff goes but then why not.... aren't they representing the same brand, quality, origin and expertise?? Whats wrong in that? Another thing, wine list...... well, whosoever got it together really knows what they were doing coz, i have not seen a single restaurant in NYC to perfectly pair the wines with indian food. I enjoyed my evening soo much that would go there again, definately. Take my word, you don't need bribe to appreciate good food just experience it yourself!! Wish the guys at Tamarind Tribeca all the best and keep doing the good work, we people are with you. Love ur food, hospitality & wine....... will c ya all soon :)
