Talia's Steakhouse & Bar

In from out of town.Went to Talia's based on internet reviews and location. Ambiance was just ok.Talia's needs to decide if it is a local bistro or a nice steakhouse. T.V's are distracting, prices are high, meat mediocre. Ribs have no meat(had to send back) and sauce is poor. Service was good, very polite.

Talia’s is not just one of the best kosher restaurants in Manhattan, it's probably one of the best restaurants period. Their Spare Rib? Delicious. Their Chicken wings? Super delicious. The Bone in rib eye ? Ultimate deliciousness. Recommendation: Go on Thursday night for their recession proof menu -- $28 or $39 a person gets you free delicious beef and beans soup. Amazing taste! And, great live music with no cover charge.

While I do not usually write reviews on these websites, I felt compelled to post because of what an amazing experience I just had at Talia's Steakhouse. from start to finish everything was absolutely perfect! We walked in the door without a reservation, and while the place was nearly full, we were helped immediately and felt very welcomed..which is rare in a city full of "busy" hostesses and inattentive staff members. Our waitress came over promptly and told us about the specials of the day which sounded amazing! while perusing the menu we dove into our delicious wine. While everything on the menu sounded wonderful, I decided to try one of the specials, Beef spare ribs ..and boy am I glad that I did. What arrived were 4 huge, juicy tender ribs with the meat just falling off the bone...with mashed potatoes and veggies the price was a steal! Dessert was also amazing and for the quality and quantity of everything the bill was low as ever. In closing all that really needs to be said is that Talia's is amazing, affordable and delicious. Don't take my word for it..do yourself a favor and go to Talia's. I know I will be back!

Went with a group of 15 people on a Saturday night. Service was poor, typically couldn't get a drink unless you asked the waiter several times and ultimately would have to go to the manager to get anything done. The food was horrendous, matzoh ball soup had no flavor and the matzoh ball was still cold. The 'rib-eye steak' was 50% fat, several of our orders were essentially raw, the meat appeared to have been cooked for 30 seconds on each side so that it appeared that it was cooked, but was still basically raw. The manager was extremely sleazy and tried to sweet talk you in to being content with the poor service/food his staff was providing. Value isn't worth it at all, paid $70 for tasteless soup, a rare piece of fat, and two watered down vodka drinks that took 1/2 hour to serve.

They gave us a prime rib they said was 16 oz but was more like 5. They must have weighed the bone. The meat was fatty and undercooked, and they charged an astonishing $48 for it. When we complained they lowered the price and said they had cut it badly (?) and that if we had ordered the prime rib for two we would have been given 40 oz. Hard to believe. I do not know why they could not have cut that piece in half. I still cannot believe it was such a waste of money. Not good food, bad service. Ugh

We were a group of 14 and we had an excellent dining experience. We received 100% of the server's attention throughout the dinner and we were very pleased with the quality of the food. For such an inexpensive meal, we were surprised with the amount of food per plate. We all left with full stomachs and big smiles. I am certainly coming again!

I don't usually write reviews for restaurants, but I feel compelled to applaud Talia's Steakhouse for the wonderful experience they provided my family and I during the Sukkot holidays! A group of six of us decided to do one of the pre paid meals during the holidays, and it was absolutely perfect. They had large Sukkot seating available outside the restaurant, it was beautifully decorated and just a great atmosphere..all the other diners were very friendly and there was such a feeling of community that extended beyond just me and my family. The food was also amazing, juicy Brisket, authentic hummus and other middle eastern salads, great wine and tasty dessert...real home cooking without any of the hassle. The service was spot on and organized, and the prices were better than reasonable. I would recommend dining at Talia's regularly or during any of the holidays. We just made our reservations for Shabbat dinner this Friday and if it is anywhere as good as our last pre-paid meal there I know we will have a great time!
