Talia's Steakhouse & Bar

I would not recommend this restuarant. The meat I ordered was burnt. They were out of oil to dress the salad. The lettuce was brown. Many of the salads on the menu were unavailable as they were out of the ingredients. The steamed vegetables were a disaster. There were a few carrots on a plate which didn't look appetizing. The French fries were drenched in oil. The hostest was very aggressive and not pleasant. I really didn't enjoy my time out with family and spent a lot on nothing.

My fiancé and I ate here and loved it! The menu had a variety of items to choose from. I ordered the Prime Rib for one, which came out sizzling on a hot plate and was some of the best steak I’ve ever eaten. My wife got the Lamb Shank (according to the waitress, it is slow cooked which makes the meat so tender), and after finishing could have order a second if she had room! Highly recommended Upper West Side kosher restaurant!

We (5 of us) ordered the brisket/meatball/stew specials, and each was delicious! The steamed vegetables were flavorful and done perfectly, and the meat was savory and well-seasoned. It is a bit noisy, and our particular server could've been more attentive, but it was a nice dining experience. We recommend it!

Talia's Steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC for the following reasons... 1) The food. Talia's gives a very big portion, usually I can't even finish the meal. This also has to do with the fact that I always order their signature appetizers. My favorites are the amazing Middle Eastern platter with Homemade chumus and babaganoosh. That dish served with the warmed pittas (which are complimentary) is best alongside the Moroccan cigars. In addition the BBQ wings are to die for, and give Dougies a run for its crown in Kosher restaurants! My favorite steak is the prime rib and the chef always prepares it to perfection. 2) Talias is open late everynight, closing at 12. However, on Saturday nights, Talia's stays open until 4 am... even offering deliveries to my apartment. This factor brings me to call this restaurant frequently for late night deliveries, which always arrive within 30 minutes. 3)The live music every Thursday and Saturday night keeps on getting better at Talias. This kosher restaurant on the Upper West side manages to attract high quality performers. The music is not too loud and sets a very relaxing mood. Many other factors bring me back to Talia's on a frequent basis, and I highly recommend eating at this fine institution.

I and 4 other senior citizens ate there last night. One senior uses a walker. The staff was incredibly nice & helpful. We were not rushed to order & our not needing drinks other than water was okay with the staff. Water glasses were filled often. The pita was served warm & the portions were quite large. I did not give the food 5 stars because the chicken in the dish was a bit dry although the sauce was delicious. I tasted my friend's meat dish and found the meat and also found it a bit dry. But, I am very fussy when it comes to dryness whether it is chicken, meat or fish. In order to get in to the restaurant you have to use the very high step with no rails on either side. The staff immediately helped the senior with the walker. I use a cane and had no problem getting in. Getting out was another problem. But, I did not have to ask for help. A staff member was already there to help me maneuver the very high step. Today I told my granddaughter about my experience with Talia's. She did not seem surprised about my experience. "Oh yes" she said. "They are always very nice". I intend to return to this very nice place.

My daughters, my wife, I had dinner at Talia's on a Wednesday night and had a great experience. The service was incredible, beyond my expectations. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy, our waitress still took very good care of us, and made us feel like valued customers. The food was absolutely delicious as well (I had the pepper crusted filet mignon). They also have a great kids menu. For great kosher steak, and incredible service, you need to check out this Upper West Side restaurant!

The food that came to the table was good, but it took a long time, a lot of items were not available and even the items that were like the spinach side dish ever arrived. They apologized after I spoke to the manager and told us that a main person in the kitchen was off because he is getting married. I probably would have made sure that someone else was in the kitchen to help.
