Superb!
I just finished to eat a great tendered, juicy steak at Talia's Steakhouse. It was cooked exactly the way I requested. The waitress was very professional and attentive. The live jazz in the background with a great apple martini I had, gave the feeling that I am in a fun party. Great atmosphere. I will go back to Talia's on my next date.

Not recommended
We were a foursome on a Sunday night. The restaurant/bar was much too loud, the service was unacceptable (the "mains" were served with a time lapse of about 5 minutes between them). One of the entrees had to be returned because it was too fatty, and the other entrees were mediocre. We asked for four coffees, and only three were served. Obviously, we won't be going back to Talia Steakhouse.

A Winner
My wife and I finally got a chance to go out and at the last minute I decided to try this place out. It's a good thing I did. The time of service was great in and out in 1:15. Enough time to actually talk to my wife, but not to long where you just twiddling your thumbs waiting for your food. The owner was very courteous always making sure we had what we need,. And the lamb chops are a definite must. Portions aren't huge, but I left quite satisfied, as did my wife. This place is on my list of top restaurants in NY.

Poor service; mediocre food
My wife and I went to Talia's on Saturday night and we were very disappointed. The food took over 45 minutes to come out and was dry and tasteless. And to make things worse they tried to charge us $3 for a slice of tomato. Poor attitude by the waiters.

Great Place to meet and eat
We had dinner at Talia's on Saturday evening and it was delicious. The value is great as the meals come with salad and a side dish. The steak was amazing, especially the Butcher Cut! After our dinner, we stayed for the evening and enjoyed the music, atmosphere and great wine. I'm going again next week!

Poor service
Our food was fine, but when 3 of our four meals were served, with no sign of the fourth, our waiter disappeared. That is, he was nearby but never returned to our table. After hailing another waiter and finally the manager, the fourth meal was delivered - about 30 minutes after the rest. No further service (such as an offer to order dessert) was given. The loud '80s music from the bar didn't help the atmosphere.

Best Steakhouse
Last night, I took my date to Talia's Steakhouse and I must admit that I had the best steak since my last visit to Peter Luger which was a year ago. We had the prime rib for two and it was cooked to perfection. The server was very polite and attentive. The atmosphere was very romantic (candle on each table) - perfect place for dating. I will definitely go back to Talia's to try other dishes.
