Talia's Kosher Restaurant

Last night, I decided to take my girlfriend out for a nice evening, and was pleasantly surprised when we went to Talia's Steakhouse. Although we didn't have a reservation, which they strongly recommend, we were sat right away (we were sat within minutes), and I think candles on the tables always adds a nice touch. Everyone there was nice and polite, and we were never rushed! It was wonderful to go to a nice restaurant and not feel as if they can't wait for us to leave. We ended out evening with a chocolate souffl? and a cappuccino,. . .followed by a beautiful walk home.

We ate here mid-week in the evening. The restaurant was relatively quiet and whilst the food was good, we were a little irritated by the speed of service which, though polite, was below expectations. The entrees seemed to take ages to find their way to our table - about thrty minutes after our appetizers.

I was on the upper westside last week with two important clients. They as well as i keeping kosher went to the highly recomended Talia's Steakhouse. My food as well as my clients food was fantastic. The price was very favorable and very worth it. My clients were also very impressed i recomend Talias to anyone looking for delicious food and fantastic service. -It really caught my clients attention.

I was disappointed but not in the taste of the food. The steak which was one of the most expensive items on the menu was brought to me cold, not warm. I had to wait quite awhile for the main course and the place was empty, this was Tuesday, September 6th 2005. there was no reason for that. The dessert I had to wait too long to get. The waiter had an easy night and I was alone so he took advantange.

I had a wonderful experience with Talia's Steak House when they catered an event of mine. They were very very accommodating to all of my needs, offered me a great deal, and superb food. The owner, manager and workers were extremely gracious. Not only do they serve wonderful food inside the restaurant, but as caterers, they were wonderful to work with. Highly recommended!

Let's just say...Sat night after Shabbos would be better spent elsewhere. 1) Food took 2 hours to deliver. 2) After 2 hrs of waiting, only 4 of the 7 at our table were served. 3) Many items on the menu were not available. 4) No manager but owner was present, and was rude. When told of the wait- incorrectly cooked food- he offered free dessert- we didn't want to wait another hour- so he reluctantly offered 10%. 5) Gave him my AMEX- but machine wasn't functioning- I refused to walk 2 avenues to get cash so we told him we left what cash we had..$40 for a $140 meal. We still believe we paid too much.

Having been to Talia's Steakhouse numerous times, I have been able to taste an assortment of their menu dishes. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING I have had there has been top quality and delicious. While Talia's is a steakhouse, they also offer many other foods including sushi, chicken and buffalo wings (super spicy!). Their desserts are out of this world especially the chocolate souffl? and chocolate mousse. You definitely get what you pay for so it is worth the little splurge. Their service has been improving over the past year and more quality wait staff have been hired and continue to take suggestions and comments about how to better serve their customers. Very customer service friendly.
