Highly recommended!
We were 2 couples that purchased a Bloomspot deal. 3 courses dinner for 2, bottle of wine. $75 instead of $150. Between all 4 of us, we tried all of their 3 soups - matzoh ball, chicken vegetables, beef and beans soup. The matzoh ball was delicious - as good as, if not better, than Grandma's. One of us opted for the middle-eastern combo of Moroccan cigar, kubbeh and chicken finger with tahini. It was also very tasty. Since we were in a steakhouse, we all went with the ribeye for main dish. One of us wanted medium-well, but got it medium, so he had to send it back to the kitchen, but other than that they were all amazing. The meat quality was great - tender, right amount of fattiness - better than we expected. In terms of wine, we ordered one caberent and one pinot grigio and they were both pretty decent. It's not Barolo, but nonetheless very satisfactory. We had a lovely waitress who was very attentive and tried hard to please us. They had a duo (guitar & trumpet) playing oldies, swing, jazz etc. They were great - I would have payed cover charge to listen to these guys, if the restaurant asked for it. For dessert we devoured the chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream (parve, but very good). It was so good that my spouse asked for the basic recipe and the chef was kind enough to step out from the kitchen and give us the ingredient list. We signed up for Talia's mailing list, because we can't wait for the next deal. A royal meal with music and great atmosphere for only about $100 is a homerun anyway you look at it. The only thing that disturbed me was that they had a TV, not only in the bar, but also in the main dining room. I feel it takes away from the upscale air of the place. Other than that, I highly recommend Talia's.

100% happy and satisfied!
I want to recommend Talia’s as a great place to go for a date. I have a few single friends who have taken girls there and recommended I do the same. My first time, yesterday, my date had chicken marsala and I had a shoulder steak. Although we didn’t eat much and paid more attention to each other, I thought the food tasted very good and the service was friendly. Our waiter was eager to please and came by to check in on us frequently, to make sure we were well taken care of. He made extreme effort telling us daily specials, and said the chef asked how we were enjoying our food. Although I don’t think she was the right girl for me, I plan to try another date here and I definitely found a restaurant ‘match’ with Talia’s! Thanks for providing an accommodating dating atmosphere for us - the singles.

Poor quality
I went to this restaurant last night with a few friends. The rib eye steak was poor quality( i dont buy cheap meat like that from the grocery, and i don't expect a restaurant who call themselves a steak house to serve such poor quality meat). The chicken had a bad taste and the mixed combo was worse than take out.

unimpressed
We used a bloomspot deal for $150 worth of food and drink. The appetizer tasted like frozen food you microwave. For the main course i got the rib eye steak, it was the worst piece of meat i have ever tasted. It tasted like a cheap five dollar piece of meat. it was chewy and very fatty. They told me that is the most popular steak so i don't understand how they are still in business. This was our first experience there and i would never go back and will definitely not recommend it to anyone I know.

not very good
We had a bloomspot deal of $75 for 3 courses, appetizer, steak, dessert, plus a bottle of wine for 2 people. Not the regular menu. The claim was that it was a $150 value. A fair valuation would have been about $75. Actually, it was diner quality. Barely. The food was bland. The wine was sour. The dessert was misnamed. A "Chocolate Souffle" was actually an ok molten chocolate cake. We will not be going back at any price. Even free.

Good stuff
I always stop in Talia’s when I am on business in NYC. I know that at any late hour I arrive, I’m guaranteed to be greeted by a buzzing and energetic bar atmosphere with (sometimes) live music , and the option to take away to my hotel, or eat in for the full “Talia’s” experience. I can always count on one of my three favorite menu items to satisfy my kosher meat craving: a juicy steak, “cheeseburger”, or wrap. I think maybe I need to look into opening a branch of Talia’s outside of NYC….

Motzash hotspot!
My friend lives on the uws, and we came to Talia’s after I spent Shabbat with her. It was awesome to enjoy a kosher 10oz burger, cheese and fries at 2am on a motzei Shabbat! A bunch of our friends met up with us to join us, and we had a really good time. I was very impressed that Talia’s makes such an effort to cater to singles like myself of new york. If you want to have a good time and good food, stop in Talia’s!
