Clearly not run by the same people. The stores on the east side are fast and courteous. Deliveries are quick and when you walk in they take care of you quickly. On the west side delivery takes an hour. They usually make mistakes even though we send the orders in off seamless. When we call to tell them they made mistakes they say they are very busy and will make it up next time. So not worth it.

I've been ordering here for a while, and delivery never takes less than 45 minutes--usually its an hour or more. I always have to call to find out where my bagels are, and then every time they say he "just left". We only live 2 blocks away and order 2 bagel sandwiches--there's really no excuse. (PS--I tried switching to Lenny's today, but Lenny's said they wouldn't deliver to us, even though we are only 7 blocks from them. I guess I'm stuck with Tal for the time being!)

We have been ordering from Tal bagels for 8+ years now and have been getting delivery almost every weekend morning. However, in the last year, they have become so rude and obnoxious, it pains me to keep patronizing them. I am in the process of convincing my husband that their bagels are so not worth it. This morning's delivery took one hour and 22 minutes and we live 6 blocks away and ordered two bagel sandwiches -- nothing complicated. We called after an hour and they said they just left. If you really want TAL, just be aware that they will not honor your poundage requests and if you do delivery, order way way before you want it. Or just don't because they don't deserve your business.

I am not one to write a review, especially about a bagel.. but I just had to. I ordered a bagel with shrimp salad and it was basically mayo on a bagel. I love mayo but this was unedable. Really grossed out with how much mayo was used - I am literally wiping it off my bagel as I am typing this... ick!

These may be some of the better bagels on the UWS, but the people are just unpleasant. We try and order delivery, and just get rude service... and for the prices they charge, we feel ripped off. It's a sad situation.

I had the pleasure of trying the amazing bagel sandwiches at Tal while on a short trip from Germany. After hearing my friend's recommendations on breakfast places near our hotel I decided to check it out. I found out that the bagels are actually each rolled by hand and the texture is soft and wonderful. The most perfect bagel I've ever had, especially with the tuna salad which was fresh and tasty and not just mayo. I wish I had packed a full bag to bring back home. Great prices and still having cravings!

This place is really NOTworth ordering from. Aside from the rude people on the other end of the phone, this place is over priced. The Deli aspect of this venue is not good. I have gotten better sandwiches in the pre-made section in the supermarket. The tuna and egg salad are both mayo, with a bit of the aforementioned. They are slow and skimpy on anything you order. In short, overpriced mediocrity with a side of poor customer service.
