Taksim Square

My family is Turkish and I eat here about once a week. It's really authentic, the service is fast and friendly, and it's cheap to boot. I recommend this place to people all the time. The lentil soup and elephant beans are excellent as is the baklava.

The waitstaff is of the best in the business and the food was delicious, although not as great as everyone here has declared. The take-out amounts are considerably less than their eat in counterparts however.

The appearance of this restaurant is that of a cafe/take away. It is beautifully clean and I was very pleased with the greeting and service I received throughout the meal. The food was sensational quality with adequate portions for a hungry man. I have been in NYC for a couple of months and have eaten there four times now. My wife is a vegetarian and she was so well looked after and catered for from the choice on the menu which is a refreshing change for a New York restaurant. You must go. Have yet to have a bad meal here. My girlfriend who is the pickiest eater on the planet loves it here. Must start off with the falafel, then move to something lamb (unless you still hear them scream). Really good food, not overwhelmed by sauces. Staff is happy to give recommendations and are very friendly. Lamb shank and kebabs never fail. Too bad that this place isn't a secret anymore.

Waiting for a table has gotten to be a bit of a drag, so do both of us a favor and eat somewhere else, so I can get a table, OKAY. Seriously it does get loud there, but the food is outstanding and reasonable.

Lots of great stuff here. I especially like the lamb dishes. The best lamb chops I've ever had!

The food is highly competitive with the more up-scale Turkish restaurants in the area but the prices much lower. I go there regularly and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food and friendliness of staff. Ideal for a casual and speedy dinner. Be sure to try the Australian Shiraz.
