best greek salad in my life

i have actually never enjoyed a greek salad more in my life. something about the feta or the dressing or something was just amazing. i did take out, just moved to the area. will be back probably once a week for falafal and greek salad. also falafal was amazing. definitely veryy fresh. and the hummus tasted like the mashed up chick peas right before they served it to us. so fresh!

    Great falafel

I personally think their falafel sandwiches are the best in NYC. The sauces are brilliant!

Good food, but very stingy portions.

Taksim has some very good dishes, but for the price, the portions are minuscule. An entree here is the size of an appetizer elsewhere. It's a pity, because I live in the area and like the food, but they basically give you a sandwich's worth of meat, add rice, call it an entree and charge $12+ for it. We order out all the time and would love to add taksim to the usual rotation, but its not enough even for my wife, who's a very light eater. For that matter, their sandwiches are incredibly expensive too. If you like this type of food, head downtown to Bereket on Houston. Better food, lower prices, generous portions, and open 24 hrs. Taksim won't last long.

    Excellent food!

Have been ordering for a couple of months now....found it quite by chance and I love their food. Actually, everyone in our house does. Adana kababs and grilled meat patties are awesome. A must try for everyone! Must visit the restaurant one of these days when the weather is a bit more pleasant.

    Delicious!

i love food and have been eating at taksim and ordering in for a while now. Great greek salad with fava bean salad in it. The musakka is delicious and so are the lamb chops. Even the artichoke dish is yum! great for ordering in. Over ordered and dinner for 4 with left overs was $80.

    Absolute Top Value Place

The place is really small and can accomodate ony about 2 or 3 parties of more than 2 people. However, three of us got there around 6:15 PM and were seated immediately and waited on promptly. We are not voracious eaters so we usually split one or two appetizers amongst the 3 of us. The appetizers in many restaurants seems to always consist of 2 or 4 of whatever it is so we do our best to divide them by 3. We got an order of stuffed cabbage leaves and an order of lentil balls and they brought us 3 of each which was nice. Both appetizers were very good. For entrees, two of us had the boneless lamb shank wrapped in eggplant and one had the roasted chicken. The dinners were delicious and the lamb was a better value than a regular lamb shank as it was all meat. The prices were very reasonable and the food was excellent. I rate this a top value place to eat and definitely worthy of repeating.
