Awesome!
Came here for a surprise bday dinner... It's tiny but awesome! Best dinner I've had out in a while! Our waiter was a doll, the skirt steak was to die for! Delicious!!

Great early walk-in dinner!
A friend and I ended up here after we were turned away from Hakata Tonton. Neither of us partook of the horumon options, but we ordered four cuts of yakiniku between us, including the "tongue experience." Absolutely delicious! The wait staff were friendly and helpful, just managing to walk the line between being overbearing and dropping in at just the right moment to explain menu options and sauce pairings. Will definitely need to go back so I can compare the various stomachs (and maybe to venture into the raw side). I recommend the tongue experience and nakaochi kalbi (rib interstitials), as well as the peppery edamame as an appetizer.

The Best Restaurant of 2010!
I've been here 3 times and so I disagree with anyone who says a negative thing about the service or food. It has the most delicious meat in the city, and the servers and manager are always pleasant, efficient and polite. The best new restaurant I've been to in 2010!

Not recommended
There are plenty of places around it that server much (more) food, are cheaper, and have better service. Actually any place with service will have a better service than here. We went to eat there on a Fri night and were told that we'll have a table in 45 mins tops. An hour and 40 mins later we were still given the run-around. When we were finally sitted, it took a while for the service to bring the measly meat. But it took them a second at the end to bring a check that was surprisingly different from what we thought it was going to be. Great toilet though!

Amazing
Seriously the most delicious beef I've ever eaten in my life. Everything is so delicately prepared, feels so healthy, yet so tasty and unique. I bet some people will be surprised with portions, but like one reviewer said, it's about quality not quantity. Try the ribeye, the intestines, the raw liver, the fresh vegetables, the ICE CREAM! Definitely going back. A+++

Quality Than Quantity
Fresh meat! Small portion many surprises of eating meat (raw, grill). Small space with grilling comes with sent of grilled beef as a gift. Wear something easily be washed. Each table has a vent pipe coming down to suck the smoke closer but still comes home and smell of grill.... but the foods were worth it! Definitely going back!

A wonderful addition to the WV!
My husband and I decided to try Takashi solely because its new and very close to our apt. It was a very pleasant surprise! The meat quality is second to none. And the variety is fabulous if you're up to trying new things. The various sauces were extremely tasty as were the small veggie based sides they offered. The tiny wine list is well thought out and appropriate and the service was excellent. They are thorough in their menu explanations, very friendly and truly excited about the restaurant. I hope this will be one that sticks around because we will be going back for tasty yet lowkey dinners out. It can get a bit expensive but worth it for the quality of food.
