Everything here was very good and at far below average prices. The service was very friendly. Right before getting our check, the hostess politely asked us to move over one seat so they could combine 2 tables (which wasn't a big deal since we were done eating), and we were thanked numerous times by the whole staff and then given a free dessert. The restaurant is a little crowded and there was a line out the door for a table, but that's just because this is such a great restaurant. The sushi for 2 was the biggest I have ever seen, and only $30... it came with 14 pieces of sushi, 2 maki rolls and one giant hand roll. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant often.

In my point of view, this is one of NYC's greatest sushi resturants. The fish is fresh, and the presention is beautiful. The chefs are funny and nice, and make a great converstion. I enjoy to eat at this resturant, and it has made eatting sushi a pleasant experience.

I'd never really dug sashimi until I went to Takahashi. Great value, I loved the service and everything was simple and good. Too bad it's all the way down in LES because I'd have lunch or dinner there more often.

I ordered pick up last night from this place and it was soooo delish. I was really impressed. I eat sushi 5 times a week so it is sometimes tough to impress me. For the price, the fish is excellent. I mean nothing compares to jewel bako but who has 100 bucks (at least) to spend on dinner every night. I ordered lots of yummy sush for two last night and it was only 30 bucks! Do yourself a favor and check Takahachi out tonight.. maybe ull see me there...

Takahachi has some of the best sushi in the east village... second only to ISO, which is double to triple the price. Very fresh fish and sweet waitstaff.

Takahachi is a great value. The fish is always fresh and the staff are always great. It's a great place to have a casual sushi feast. There are probably better places in the city, but for the price here, you just can't beat it.
