Amazing
The best sushi in manhattan. Superb. Must try the live catfish. It's not on the menu but the do offer it. It comes to your plate squirming. Super fresh

best in the east village
i am a huge sushi lover. this is by far the best sushi place in the east vill. i just wish they delivered. I have not been able to find a place that delivers that is as good. :( its always packed, no matter what day you go, and the wait staff is attentive and nice.

one of the few japanese places worth your buck
over the past few years I've been visiting this restaurant, it has always been a pleasure to be served with such care and friendliness. I love the food and how worth it is is for the prices, but it's really the workers who make the difference. Great chefs, and awesome waiters/waitresses. In terms of the food, some of the rolls are interesting and the fish is quite fresh, but I would also greatly recommend the home food they serve occasionally at the kitchen. Always look into the daily specials!!

love takahchi
Takahchi is the best sushi in all of Manhattan! I've tried some of the more upscale places, many in the east village area, and nothing compares. Everytime I decide to try a new place I compare it to Takahchi and regret my decision.. just not worth it! Love all the special rolls, tuna tartar, and the sushi and sashimi which is always so fresh.. Love it, go here!

best sushi in east village
this place is absolutly amazing!!!!!! My boyfriend and I come here at least once a week. The food is always amazing and fresh. the tuna tartar is the best ever!!!! the service is the best in nyc. they treat you like family. for christmas they even gave boyfriend a bottle of sake! (for the past few years) definitly a must!!!!!!

My Favorite Sushi Restaurant in NY
I used to live in the East Village but have sadly moved on to London where you have to pay an arm and a leg for good sushi. Whenever I'm in NY, I always make a point of having a meal (or two) at Takahachi. The rolls are amazing (but, they have stopped doing the Dragon Eye Roll! Why?). And I always order the crab shumai because it is 100% crab meat (no fish stick stuff) and it is so yummilious . . . . . My first year in London, I used to wake up in the middle of the night with a craving for Takahachi. I've since found a close match in London, but, Takahachi is still by far one of the best restaurant around in terms of the quality of the food and in terms of value! Happy eating.
