Tajin

I work around the corner from Tajin, and I eat there at least twice a week. There dishes are delicious, I definitely recommend the Grilled Salmon and the Combo Burrito. All the reviews mention how bad the service is, I couldn't disagree more. Whenever I go in they are all nice and cordial. The restaurant is small, and they are always packed, so give em a little slack!

I've ordered delivery from Tajin a couple of times, and the Vegetable Burrito is good. The people who I've spoken to on the phone are very abrupt and hard to understand. The menu is also confusing - I ordered something listed under Burritos that definitely wasn't a burrito! Everything I've had from there is good, I would recommend it for delivery.

So I was in the mood for Mexican and I heard of Tajin so I decided to give it a try. I went during lunch and ordered beef nachos. When my nachos arrived I couldn't believe my eyes. They gave me exactly 8 chips (yes I counted) and carefully spread a small amount or refied beans, beef and chesse on each individual chip and didn't bother to melt the chesse. Lets just say I was more than dissapointed. So not only did I leave with an empty stomach but about $7 less than what I came with. So we all know where I will not be going when I am in the mood for a meal.

I always enjoyed the food at this little hole in the wall. The service always sucked. Still, I'd take groups of us from the bank there, including a few visitors. For the food, yes, not the ambience. But when the restaurant staff takes on a menacing stance, hovering around, looking for an opening to grab what's remaining of the food on your platewhile you're still eatingit's the last straw for me. This is how it went down June 11, 2008... 12:45pfriend and I led to table... 12:55pfood arrives... 1:15p waiter tries to snatch plate with unfinished burrito... 1:17pheadwaiter tries to grab basket still containing chips, next tries to take friend's unfinished lemonade... 1:20manager comes over urging us to go... A bit peeved, we decide to leave, not before my friend lets it be know she's never coming back there (I know, as if they care). Not counting the interruptions, we were allowed (yes) just 15-20 mins. to eat the meal. The rudeness is not what bothers me. We are not the residents of a prison camp you order your food at a restaurant, you should get to eat it. I don't know anyone who likes being this rushed when they sit down to a meal. You? My three cents: the food's great, but do the take out. Unless, of course, you love being abused.

I work in the neighborhood and I love Tajin! It is great food and reasonable prices. All the food is homemade and it is delicious, especially the chimichangas! They are a special item, so it isn't offered everyday. The burritos, lemonade, and homemade guacamole are excellent too! Enjoy!

This restaurant has the best Mexican food I have ever had. Days that I don;t feellike going outside I order my favorite dish and they deliver it in less than 10 minutes. The food is very rich and you will be content with the portions. This place gets 2 thumbs up!

The place looks dingy. The food is good, the prices are decent. But do takeout only. The service is pretty poor. Rude phone service. The manager could care less about complaints. There's a 15 minimum on credit cards, which is ridiculous. And they will NOT take credit cards for delivery - that's cash only. They get away with a lot because they're the only Mexican restaurant in the area for the lunch crowd. If there were another place near by, my office would get food from that place instead.
