How is this place considered good?
I tried it a couple of times when I was absolutely desperate for indian. The vindaloo is greasy, the meat quality is bad, and it's NOT spicy at all. I don't even think the vindaloo even had potatoes in it. The meat samusa's, nan, and pompadoms are ok at best. But Bay Ridge desperately needs a proper indian place. Hopefully we'll get one soon and take this place and India Passage out.

Awesome Indian food!
It was fancier than expected so I ordered takeout but the food is amazing and the servers are really nice as well. While waiting for the food hey gave us tea and it was free. I will be eating here again! Loved it!

Not so good, but BR is captive audience
Outside of breads, food here is pretty awful -- greasy, not spicy (on demand or not), watery where it shouldn't be. Delivery is always delayed and takeout can easily be a 50+ minute wait. But what can we do? There are only two Indian restaurant in BR and this one is a little better than the other one (admittedly, by a narrow margin). Breads are pretty good, especially by comparison with the rest of menu. Whenever a craving for Indian food catches up with me at home, I usually order a couple of stuffed parathas, a soup (really greasy, but ok eaten with bread), and a dessert.

Great Food, Great Service
This is a really cute restaurant. The staff are sweet, and the food is great. The food is mild unless you ask for spicy, so it's a great place to take Indian food newbies. Some reviewers seem to think that there is only one way to make good or authentic Indian food. India is a big place and there is local variation in dishes across the country. The food might not look/taste exactly like the food at the Indian restaurant you are used to or it might taste exactly the same. Either way, it is amazing.

Unrecognizable
I won't be ordering from here again, ever. I gave the place two chances and both times it was a giant disappointment. The Saag Paneer was very watery and the Chicken Tikka Masala was a big old mess of grease. Even the onion relish thing they gave me tasted rancid. It really seems like the only thing they can get right is the Nan.

Um, at least the nan was good
I just ordered from this place and was extremely disappointed. The nan was good, but that's about it. The Chicken Tikka Masala was the greasiest I've ever had. And it was completely lacking in flavor. The Mulligatawny Soup was delivered in a cup, a cup! I was reluctant to try the place down the street since it had no reviews but I will next time. If that doesn't work it's back to Joy on Flatbush.

unbelievably bland
I can't believe how many good reviews this place is getting. I love Indian food and was so disappointed with this place. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo and the Mixed Veggie Curry-- I asked for both EXTREMELY spicy and it's the blandest thing I have EVER tasted. The service may be kind but the food isn't worth it. Next time I'm in the mood for Indian food, I'll make the trek out to Manhattan.
