The food was good but didn't taste authentic ... very Americanized. Portions seemed small for the price of a main dish. Delivery was quick which was nice.

I've dined in and I've gotten delivery, and I must say the liver appetizer makes everything awesome! I admit the paneer could be more abundant in the order and the seafood dishes could be cheaper, but they are on the money when it comes to the shrimp. We usually get the shrimp appetizer and order the dinner size. Yumm!! Oh, by the way, I'm not an American-born, food snob. I didn't grow up on bland food and I've been lucky to travel the world. Taj Mahal is not the best Indian restaurant in the world, but they are decent and some dishes are even daydream-worthy. If you don't believe me, go ahead; Order the liver and the shrimp app, eat them with the under $20 Sauvignon Blanc bottle and enjoy the fantastic service. I'm ordering those right now!

I do not know why the negative reviews ...I think the place is very good!

I tried it a couple of times when I was absolutely desperate for indian. The vindaloo is greasy, the meat quality is bad, and it's NOT spicy at all. I don't even think the vindaloo even had potatoes in it. The meat samusa's, nan, and pompadoms are ok at best. But Bay Ridge desperately needs a proper indian place. Hopefully we'll get one soon and take this place and India Passage out.

It was fancier than expected so I ordered takeout but the food is amazing and the servers are really nice as well. While waiting for the food hey gave us tea and it was free. I will be eating here again! Loved it!

Outside of breads, food here is pretty awful -- greasy, not spicy (on demand or not), watery where it shouldn't be. Delivery is always delayed and takeout can easily be a 50+ minute wait. But what can we do? There are only two Indian restaurant in BR and this one is a little better than the other one (admittedly, by a narrow margin). Breads are pretty good, especially by comparison with the rest of menu. Whenever a craving for Indian food catches up with me at home, I usually order a couple of stuffed parathas, a soup (really greasy, but ok eaten with bread), and a dessert.
