I tracked down this place because I was given Einat Admony's wonderful cookbook. The felafel is delicious. Fresh. The cabbage salad is crunch. All wonderful. But, the place is so busy and packed with people, there's no place to stand and read the menu, let alone to sit down and eat. Sure, lots of people is a good sign, but with so many people, eating there is just unpleasant. The minute you step in, you are at the counter, so there's no time to read the listings -- or even enough space to stand and read it. Einat, get a bigger place -- preferably in Brooklyn near me!!

The last time I went was about six months ago and I found it really disappointing. I used to love this place! The balls seemed to be smaller and way the items were put in the pita was haphazard, no blending of ingredients when eaten at all. Tonight I was in the area and decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, this time it was probably worse than the last. I wasn't asked what type of pita I wanted and I forgot that whole wheat was an option. Okay, maybe that one was my fault and hey, a white pita wasn't the end of the world. However, the pita was chewy and had a very raw flour taste! Ugh. To make matters worse, the pita was split open on multiple sides and the filling (which was not ample) fell out. This time the ingredients were better distributed, but once again, the balls seem to have gotten smaller. I miss the Taim of yore, with the generous portion inside a pita that doesn't taste raw, and one that stays intact! I honestly hope someone reads these bad reviews and cares to correct the situation. The eternal optimist, I'm not ready to give up this place just yet, but once more and it's three strikes they're out.

I ordered yesterday some falafel sandwiches for the first time since 1 year and what used to be really good is now very very disappointing : food was cold, the falafel was good but pita was barely raw and the vegetables were flavorless, sauce was forgotten or so discrete that I couldn't feel it.

The food I've had here is good, especially the falafel. However, if you're going for takeout the place is tiny and jam packed, and the wait to get your food is long. It seems like they cater more to their deliveries than take away. Plus the guy who takes your order is very rude. This turned me off and I have returned to my old time favorite, Mamouns.

As a former employee of St Vincent hospital it was not unusual to be faced with the dilemma of finding delicious food that was quickly prepared and delivered. Taim simply fits the bill. The staff is incredibly friendly, The food is tremendously delicious, especially the harissa falafel and those absolutely fantastic fries. Hands down the best falafel i have ever had, and believe me, i have tried them in many other eateries.

I was really excited to try this place when I saw their menu online, but was ultimately disappointed with my experience. The space is rather tiny and cramped, but that would have been perfectly fine if I had not felt hurried and pressured by the waitstaff to order and move on. The person that took my order was impatient and unhelpful when it came to answering my questions about the menu - I expected more amiability to someone who was there for the first time. I requested certain add-ons to my falafel sandwich that I did not received, and was left feeling unwelcome by the way in which I was interacted with. The falafel sandwich was good, although not especially better than any I've had a falafel chains. I ordered a sandwich and an ice tea for a total of $9. Pita was yummy, and the harissa falafel I requested was midly spicy and well prepared. Hummus was bland. Israeli salad was very good.
