Second Time Around
Went to Taim a couple months ago after seeing on Bobby Flay's Throwdown show on food network. Staff was friendly enough but just to warn you, the restaurant itself is very small. Seating consists of stools at a counter area. On my first visit I had the falafel platter with the three different flavors. Falafel was okay. Hummus was really good. One of the best I've had actually. So since it wasn't terrible and I really loved the hummus I decided to give it another try and went today. This time I just wanted a straight up, no fuss regular falafel. Okay, on this second go round I get a better picture of what the fuss is about. Yummy falafel. I liked the option of pita bread (regular or wheat) and they use cabbage instead of lettuce which gives it a nice crunch. Asked for the tahini on the side and mixed the hot sauce (forgot the name). Hot sauce gave it nice kick and tahini was muy delicioso. Could have eaten it by itself. So lesson of the day is sometimes it's good to give a place a second try.

Crowded For A Reason
There's a very good reason for the crowd lounging in and around Taim-- amazing food for an amazingly low price served to you by guys who are incredibly sweet and seemingly overjoyed to get you your order. Their hummus is silken and delicious. I try not to eat deep-fried foods but the falafel is ultra-fresh and fantastic. And the whole wheat pita!! You get the idea.

worth the walk
We recently visited NYC and walked to Taim from mid-town. The walk was long so when we had the sampler we were so pleased we made the effort. Food was fresh and top notch! The wait staff was friendly and helpful, wish I could give them a 5++

simply delicious
Delicious. I just had to head down to Taim, after watching Bobby's Flay Throwdown episode featuring them. I loved the falafels, the hummus. All in all I loved everything. So yummy! The place is tiny but boy was it packed when I went to pick up my order. Good thing I called ahead for my order. I am going back for sure and soon. Taim has great food simple and easy as that. Everyone should head down there to try the food. Again yummy!

Best Falafal Ever!
I went to Taim for the first time last night. The falafel are by far the best I have ever eaten. For $6, it may be pricey for a typical falafal pita sandwich, but this is no typical falafel and well worth an extra buck or two. The falafel are so moist on the inside and crispy on the outside, and are tiny so they pack nicely into a pita. I love that they give you delicious cabbage and Israeli salad in the sandwich, instead of your typical iceberg lettuce and tomato. I also love that you have a choice between whole wheat and regular pita. I wish there was more seating, but on a beautiful night, it was nice sitting outside and enjoying the sandwich. I originally heard about Taim from watching "Throwdown" with Bobby Flay. I don't remember who won, but I would be shocked if Flay won this one, because these falafel at Taim are amazing!

Yum Yum Yum Yum Yum
I am from PA - saw the "throwdown" w/ Bobby Flay - had to try Taim when I went to NYC. What a treat - you have to try the 3 different falafel. And the hummus was THE best I have ever had. Great Value and Delicious food - 4 of us went and we were not disappointed - my niece who spends a lot of time in NYC said she definitely will go back. Thank goodness it was a nice day because we had to sit outside. Service was a might slow but well worth the wait. We went right at lunch time so there was a long line but the cashier was very helpful and never rushed anyone. Taim is on my list for every trip to NYC.
