do not order delivery
Tahini has hands down the worst delivery service i have ever experienced. The food is ok but it is not worth the utter frustration of having to wait close to two hours for "ok" food be delivered. I often read reviews mentioning bad delivery service and ignore them, but please i beg of you, for your own sanity do not disregard this warning. Do not under any circumstance order delivery from tahini!

Fried not baked
Used to be Chickpea. Now they fry their falafel again... so much better. only complaint - minimum delivery order of $18 is steep for a place offering $4.45 falafel.

Disapponting
Maoz is so much better than this place. I expected real israeli-style falafel and was disappointed, it's just so-so. The chicken kebb was kind of bland. And it isn't even Kosher anymore. Better choices elsewhere.

Awesome.
I just tried Tahini for the first time today and it's one of the best falafels I've had in the city. That thing was stuffed full of toppings, and the pita bread is fluffy and awesome. With my student discount it was $3.80. The employees were also really, really nice. My only criticism is that I'd like the option of whole wheat pita. I'll be back.

Not Kosher Anymore
Warning: Tahini lost its Kosher Certification over the summer. It is now "Kosher style" but no longer retains Kasrhut. Please be advised.

great cooper square lunch takeout
Fast service, really good hummus and falafel at good prices. Hot sauce is also top notch, which is an important barometer for me. I'm going back for the roasted eggplant tomorrow. The fluffy pita bread is almost perfect - a bit too "steamy" but nice for scooping. More of a chic takeout place but there is a dining area in the back. I'm still confused about the Chickpea/Kosher Village/Tahini saga, including that "name our restaurant" fiasco, but today, the whole thing worked, so I hope they keep the status quo.
