Great value
The luncheon menu value-- multiple fresh, flavorful dishes for less than $12-- is exceptional. Not a buffet. Very quick, courteous table service overseen by owner. In and out and delicious, I always go back.

Good Indian food
I went there with a friend. The food there is pretty good, but what attracted us more was the excellent and courteous service provided by the waiter, not to mention he was cute too :) We even got a free dessert as complimentary! will go again. Only bad thing is place is a little too small.

Yum!
I am addicted to their chole masala and vegetable samosa and order lunch from them about once a week. They have great warm, flavorful lunch options for vegetarians (sick of salads, anyone?) as well as carnivores. My boyfriend and I have also gone to taken advantage of their BYO wine policy for dinner, and although their restaurant is very small (and busy with delivery orders), the owner was very generous and accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Lunchtime always seems super busy, so be sure to give lunch orders 45min give/take, but it is worth the wait…

Not recommended
Had an unpleasant experience the food is no way close to Indian food. The portions are not that huge either. Took a couple of freinds and was highly disappointed...even they could not do a good job at lentils...will never go again

Amazing food and great service
If you like Indian food, Tadka is a must-try - the ingredients are incredibly fresh and the spices just right. The service is super-friendly and courteous. Highly recommended!

What a pleasant surprise!
Last week a friend and I stopped here for a very good lunch. The menu choices flavors were very good and although there are a lot of tables in a small spot, we were comfortable eating there. The service was very pleasant and efficient. My mouth is still watering for more of Tadka's meals.

excellent takeout in midtown
we live in the area and welcome tadkas food. being indian, we have been fussy about what we eat at home and their chicken curry and aloo gobi and dal hit the spot. the manager is extremely friendly, remembers our favorite dishes and we have never had a problem with our food.
