    Amazing

This local Mexican restaurant is excellent. The service is great, the food is spectacular, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and covered in cultural art. If you love Mexican food, you will find you love Tacocina even more.

A cut above most Mexican Restaurants

I eat here once a week. High quality ingredients. Excellent service. The staff is very friendly and consistent. Drinks are good and strong. The food is delicious and of high quality.

    Cinco De Mayo No-no

I have been here before and didn't really like it the first time, but everyone deserves a second shot. The first time I went there with 2 of my college friends and the place was so loud, we had to shout above one another to hear eachother. The nachos were good, but the guacamole was terrible and the salsa tasted like it was from a can. As a native southern Califorian, this was just not acceptable. My burrito was OK, but Chipotle is so much better. The portion of meat to everything else was small and overall, disappointing. My friend got the shrimp dish and it was overcooked & rubbery. The margaritas were cheap which is a bonus, but if you are hungry and don't want decent food, then go elsewhere.

    Would not recommend.

Will never return. This place is a mess - disorganized. Food is low quality and granted, prices are cheap but you still expect better decent food since this place got a decent rating. Proceed with caution.

    Not recommended

Unless you only want to eat their salsa, don't waste your time. The plates are small and all four of our dishes were bland. The tomato-based sauces were sour and the meat was overcooked. You can't make mexican food simply by sprinkling cilantro on top of everything. Loved the salsa, but that's not worth another visit.

    Better off eating a pop-tart.

My husband and I ordered delivery from here during a shift at work and will never again! My enchilada "meal" contained one tiny corn tortilla folded over a little pile of ground beef, without even the rice and beans that were supposed to be included. My husband's tacos were, in his own words, "pathetic" and came with maybe a half-spoon each of rice and beans (heck, at least they remembered them in this one). Our total with delivery was over $27 for what "might be the most disappointing mexican food I've ever had." Also included a teeny tiny baggie of chips (thank god or I might starve), and not a single utensil or napkin. To make it through the rest of the afternoon, I will be eating a dry toaster-pastry stashed in my desk drawer, and won't be nearly as disappointed.
