    Good and bad

I think the food here is good but not everything is great. You need to know how to navigate the menu. The delivery policy is cash only which is sooo annoying.

    Don't do it!

The burrito was sooooo salty, I could barely eat it and was $17! It arrived cold and they won't even take credit cards for delivery orders. This place sucks! Now I have a headache. Don't do it!

    Excellent Mexican, Excellent Customer Service

Ever since Burrittoville closed on the UES, I've been trying to find a similar tasting burrito or a similar quality level. Taco Taco is it! The chicken burrito is superb, with a twist, small potatoes in addition the rice and beans which are excellent. The shredded chicken is top quality, it's an overall hearty, yummy burrito. The customer service is also impressive. The delivery was timely, they were courteous and attentive to my special requests (I don't eat garlic and they accommodated me). I'm a picky eater, very selective where I get deliveries, and I am highly impressed by Taco Taco. If you're craving fine Mexican food that hits the spot, I highly recommend Taco Taco.

    I dont understand their policy

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and also ordered delivery service. They have a rule to only accept cash for delivery. Not a problem. However I had an experiene that I dont understand. I parked in front of the restaurant and called from my car and placed an order and told the person on the phone that I would be coming in to pay and pick up the order. I was told that that I would have to spend 25.00 on my credit card or pay in cash. I told him that this is not a delivery and I am right in front of the restaurant walking in - he said no I had to spend 25.00 or pay cash. Taco Taco there are other Mexican restaurants in the area that want business and dont let silly policies get in the way to making money.

been here twice, disappointing both times

i ordered quesadillas the first time, they were disappointing. space is so cramped inside, and the server was rude. i thought i'd give it one more try the other day because it's close to where i live, so i went for happy hour. we were the only people in the restaurant, but we sat for 10 minutes without service, while the staff hung out by the kitchen and talked. We had to flag down the waiter twice to order our drinks and food. Btw, the 'happy hour' drinks are smaller sized than during regular hours, so it's not really a good deal. also, they don't take credit cards under $25.

    Taco, Taco - Burrito, Burrito

I have searched far and wide for a passable delivery burrito and Taco Taco came through last night in a big way! Most Mexican delivery joints fail to do justice to the glory that is the burrito on one of two points: 1) Tightly wrapped but without the fillings to really back it up. or, more commonly: 2) Huge quantities of everything under the sun served up on a soggy tortilla. This results in either a hungry night or a messy night and as someone who used to come into Manhattan from New Jersey just for an old-school Burritoville 2 pound burrito neither is acceptable. Taco Taco delivered our burrito's last night in about 25 minutes. We joyfully demolished the nacho's with beans and guacamole that we'd ordered to start before even looking at our main course - big mistake. Wrapped with refried beans, rice, cheese on demand and shredded beef and chicken (respectively) these burritos were huge and we extremely satisfied by how filling they were! The appetizer was definitely NOT necessary! The meat was flavorful and fresh and with small sides of salsa and sour cream we got to control our condiment intake which was a welcome change from past occasions where both came added to our meal in either shameful amounts or not at all. Topped off with a cold soda the meal was near perfect, or at least as good a burrito as I've had in ages. That being said the price was a little steep - next time we'll skip the nachos and just stick to burrito's: easily the most convenient-to-consume meal this side of a bottle of baby formula!
