    Cheap Bites, Good Grub

Working Downtown I have experienced monotony in eating lunch ...Got bored eating the same old grub. Decided to venture out of the norm and order tacos from Taco House. After reading previous reviews I was a little skeptical but gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised with the delivery time and food quality. Although the food was great, the chicken did taste a little like Chinese chicken. Hoo Raaa. Viva Taco House.

    Cheap, Fast, Decent

Fast Delivery-even a $5 minimum, Shrimp soft tacos good and my daughter super loves the Monteray Jack Cheese Quesadillas(which is melted) If you like Mexican on the lighter side without all the fat and grease then you will like this place. We order in from this place but if you go there, there is nothing special about its looks. The meat is the typical fajita brisket type meat and yes the cheese does not come melted on anything except the nachos. It doesn't bother me we don't really eat cheese. The salsa and guacamole are on the lighter side but we like it. Also the jalepenos are the pickled and not super hot which is kind of nice. Its cheap how picky can you get?

Decent food for the cheap price

seriously, you pay for what you get. this price goes hand in hand. for 10 dollars you can get 2 tortillas and 1 quesadilla. where else in this neighborhood you can get a decent and quantity meal? its not unhealthy and it fills you up. you need to know what to order and what to expect. their tortilla is good and the quesadillas are good. you get 4 quesadilla here vs 1 from magdog on stone street. customer service is great. their delivery is always within 15-20 and the guys are always just efficient and get their job done. I recommand this place if your looking for a quick, cheap and decent mexican fix.

I should have listened to the last review. The food here is just.. plain.. bad. The guacamole nachos had NO flavor and was watered down (how is that possible?). Yes it is cheap however there are good cheap eats elsewhere. The chili taco was ok. The black bean soft taco was average. Even the salsa that is on the tables (in red ketchup bottles??) is watered down. The cheese on the nachos taste like processed cheese and the chips they used had some of the shell from a taco salad? Unheard of! I was not happy with this lunch. I partly went in because other people were there but dag.. I should have stayed away!! Obviously these owners do not care about the taste of this food. They are thinking about serving you promptly.

Looking for Cali Mexican? Keep Looking!

    1) Can't wrap a burrito 2) Guac is liquified and no avocado flavor 3) Chicken was dry 4) Steak is mediocre 5) Salsa is like colored water 6) Wrong Cheese and Lettuce (iceburg in a burrito w/ unmelted cheddar?) Maybe I sound overly negative but it's more that NY can't get Mexican right or even in the same ballpark as right. I gave high marks for value because it's cheap and high marks because they deliver quickly. At this point I want to bring a Mexican back from Los Angeles, San Diego or any of the other number of cities in border states that know beans are to be cooked overnight, salsa is to be red pepper hot, and lime/cilantro are integral components to balancing out the spicy flavor combination in mexican food.

    Good food

My bf and I really enjoy this place. I've never been there so can't say anything about the actual restaurant. For less than $20 we get 2 meals - dinner and then lunch the next day. If I were to make what I get there it would cost twice that. Their guac is also good, though I add tomatoes and real avacado to get it the consistency I want. We will definitely continue to order from Taco House.

    2nd fave chi-mex in city

also the people at taco house are willing to work with you if you want to tweak a menu item - sometimes i get black beans, vegetables and chicken, which isn't listed on the menu, and they can always figure it out right away. yay taco house.
