The food is ok and the atmosphere is nice but other than that.....poor service and the stench of amateurs.

Had dinner there this weekend. The food was great, although if you are on atkins or carb counting this is not the place for you. We had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated along with other people who had earlier reservations. The restaurant owners seem to be new to this business because everything smelled amateur -- they did not have enough seats, probably has minor overbooking for the evening and they had to assemble bigger tables for large parties while we all had to wait. The waiters are not professional, and the service is SO slow -- we waited 40 minutes between two courses. The desserts are OK - the Turkish coffee is a rip-off - 7.50 for two people and we got dirty water with lumps in them and no sugar, not even close to the hearty Turkish coffee slow cooked on the stove. We might come back for the food -- but if these people want to survive in the city, they have to adjust and raise their service standards.

Was here in March, food is good but not enough of a assortment. Wine list needs alot of help. Atmosphere is nice. This looks to be a first for these people but it does have promise.

My friends & I had the great pleasure of experiencing the delights Taboon had to offer last Saturday. The food was so unique and our waitress was very charming. We had a leisurely three hour meal. Don't miss it!

The food was incredibly amazing. We had the lamb chops and the duck. Appetizers were excellent. The Service was very slow and the deserts were just Ok. The ambiance was weak because of the lighting and music. I will go back again but I think there are things that need improvement.

We had a 9pm reservation on a Wednesday night but we didn't get seated by 10pm although there were tables available. Our group took it upon ourselves to sit at one of the tables hoping we'd get served eventually. Well, a waiter finally came up and we ordered the specials (lamb chops) and seared tuna. They were delicious. The appetizers (sauteed calamari, fennel salad and white bean soup) were pretty good too. I didn't know that we had to pay for the bread that came to table. We got charged $7. We never ordered the bread. It arrived at the table so we ate it. But, alas, the $7 showed up on the bill. We didn't say anything about it but I'm just surprised we had to pay for something we never ordered. Overall, the food was really good. I'd go back.
