Taboon

The first thing I would say, is you will never have service like you do in Taboon anywhere else. The staff is wonderful. I have had dinner here many times. I haven't tried everything on the menu yet. My favorite to date is the Hanger Steak it to me is better than any steak I have had in a Steakhouse. The Salads and Dips are out of this world one better than the next. The seafood is fresh like it was just caught. The desserts are heavenly. The decor makes you feel like you are on vacation....I cannot say enough nice things about Taboon. Also for Manhattan the prices aren't bad....over all one of my favorite spots!

We dined here recently. The food was great. The sea bass special was amazing and perfectly done. The atmosphere was excellent for a meal with friends. The only draw back was our obnoxious waiter. We wanted to order bread to start with but he told us we couldn't order it because the kitchen was small and they had to receive our whole order all at once. This was probably a tactic to ensure we vacated our table on time. We had been warned about vacating the table when we booked. That's fine, but it should hardly become a burden to a diners experience. We will definitely go back for the food, but hopefully we'll get better service.

Fresh fish, fresh bread, great service, beautiful, yet simple decor. Zucchini cake, falafel, veggie plate, sorbets and molten chocolate cake were all delicious. The overall atmosphere was very relaxing, even though it was quite busy. Good noise level, good vibes. An overall great experience!

My nephew (21) and I experienced Taboon last month for an early dinner and were happy with our choice. When we walked in, the oven fire was blazing, but the decor was minimal. That didn't diminish the experience, however. We began with Tzatsiki and House Focaccia, which were a delightful start to the meal along with the zucchini cakes I ordered. My nephew had the Lamb Kebabs and I had the Beef Tchouma, both of which were tasty. The host told us that the Kebabs were an old family recipe of the owner's! To cap off our meal, my nephew ordered a very unusual dessert - Malabi. When I asked, he said he couldn't describe it, except that it was like a "...party in my mouth!" I tried it and he was right! I had ordered the molten chocolate cake, which was rich and decadent. Thanks to Taboon, we had a nice time and a delicious dinner.

Been to restaurants all over the world, this remains my favorite!

The food is amazing and the place is spectacular. Most people go for the food, a pretty hostess only gets you so far in the restaurant business. Amazing place and i would keep coming back even if they hired Bozo the clown, or the Cookie Monster to host! This isn't Maixm magazine dude, so keep your tasteless lascivious fantasies to your self. As for everyone else? go, and enjoy. A real gem of a restaurant.

Hey, there's great food here such as everywhere else who uses pepper, coconut milk and little creativity. The dishes, yeah, are in a reasonable price for manhattan, it's a great place for friends and family, not too much of a romantic place, the music is cool, matchs the place, but wait a minute..., yes, the most important, I just went there last friday and there were this new hostess, man, she's twice better than J. Lo and G Bundchen together, man, she could be a top model. So, if you don't like the food, you can watch this beauty work, by the way, all the service is good.
