Not especially blown away by anything other the the tuna tar tar which was really good. The rest was average (food, service, atmosphere). It was really expensive as well but a nice restaurant

Been coming here once a year since it opened because we live a few blocks away. We keep hoping that by now the menu would change and the food would be better. It is hard to ruin a Bronzino, for example, but some how they manage. Simply grilling it would make more sense. It is extremely noisy for anyone older than 60. My advice, find somewhere else to eat.

Food is good, tho not exceptional by any means. Service is uneven, sometimes brusque--you feel that they may be rushing you. But the noise level is indeed exceptional, with very loud music and percussion beating and beating. Makes dining, and conversation, uncomfortable. This is the main reason I will not return

I've been coming here for more than 12 years, when it was the Lenox Room....at least 2x per week. I brought friends, family, and clients. It was wonderful. However the prices are out of sight compared to the portions and the quality of food. Instead of raising the cost per item they have made the size of the items much smaller. And the qualtiy of the food has definitely suffered. It's so upseting to me, as it was one of the only good, reliable and affordable places on the UES. I won't be going back....and I feel like I've lost a friend. Tony needs to re-think his brand....and do something to get back all his old aficionados.

My boyfriend and I go to Tbar a lot on dates. It's a bit far away from our apartment now (we used to live on 71st and Park) but it is seriously our favorite place to go. It's our running joke that whenever we don't want to cook or we just need a night out together we always end up picking Tbar because it's consistently such a nice, romantic place. We've pretty much tried everything on the menu, but I particularly like the salads and the fish. The salads are big and fill you up surprisingly, and the tuna is my favorite thing. Once in a while we save room for dessert and it's always a split between the chocolate mousse or banana parfait. So YUM! The best part for me, though, is how nice the staff is. They're so attentive and even when it's busy they take the time to give you individual attention. And what I think is really telling is that we see the same staff members over and over, unlike other places we go where it's a new face every time. I don't usually write reviews on websites like this, but this place has been so good to us and even when we moved we still go. I hope they stay around a long time and we can go there when we're finally a married couple.

I made my reservations on opentable. I called the restaurant and was told they would put a candle in the dessert for my friend’s bday. The waitress asks us what we want literally 2 seconds after we sit down. We had to shoo her away at least 3 times. She kept rushing us like she couldn't wait for us to hurry up and order so we could leaveI don't know here name and honestly i'm not sure she told us her name. She got an attitude with me when I requested to switch appetizers. Food came out too fast, like it was rushed. The table next to us were not rushed, but they were regulars from the same waitresses’ welcome back comment. After ordering dessert the waitress came back to the table and asked "whose plate gets the candle?" I just looked at her like she was an evil dumb bleep. Obviously it was a surprise. She knew she messed up because she goes sorry I asked the hostess but she didn't know. My friend was like what? I said to the waitress um it was for her. A good waitress would ask who is the person that made the reservation and by process of elimination figure it out. Then I got the wrong dessert. She said sorry I thought you said banana. I didn’t say that as I was talking about how the mousse had rum and sounded good. We were going to stiff her on the tip but I know the tip is shared with the bellboy, bus boy. I'm not going to stiff them because this waitress was incompetent and rude. My friend complained to the hostess before leaving and her response was "sorry it's restaurant week." This is the time you should be the best so you can bring in repeat customers. Another woman overheard my friend complaining and she interjected and asked what happened. My friend informed her how we felt rushed and the service was bad. This woman apologized said she wished she had known earlier but would talk to the waitress. My friend said I didn't stiff her on the tip although I was going to only because I know other people get paid out of that. So bottom line I won't be going back if you feel the need to be rude when I am paying with my hard earned money and the food isn't even that great. Mediocre at best. Their loss because we could have brought them a lot of good business.

I was first attracted to TBar by it's trendy interior and upbeat atmosphere. I called in to make a reservation and was unable to get the time I originally wanted because they were booked at the time, so I made the reservation for later. We arrived about 20 minutes early and grabbed a drink at the bar, the bartender was very attentive and had a great attitude. We were seated on time and were graciously greeted by our server. I had the tuna tartar for a appetizer which was delicious! Then me and my 2 other friends split the Porterhouse steak, with spinach, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. It was the perfect meal. Although we heard the Banana Parfait was the favorite, we split the chocolate sundae which was the perfect ending to the meal. Overall the experience was very pleasant. The restaurant was a bit noisy and a little crowded but I will definitely be returning for more!
