Chicken with peanuts is the best (the best jerry, the best!). Delivery is extremely fast. They're a bit abrupt on the phone, but hey, that's probably why they're so quick. I order from them at least once a week. Szechuan wontons are also delicious...smothered in peanut sauce.

My family has enjoyed Szechuan Kitchen since the 1980's, when it was in it's old spot. While we do miss the restaurant, at least we can still get the food. The dishes are delicious and cheap and the service is FAST (even by NYC standards). Hot Shredded Pork is my favorite - but there is no bad dish here.

When they were on 76th & First, you could eat in. Excellent, excellent food! Still travel in to pick up take out. You can freeze the dishes - we call in advance and they let the dishes cool down before sealing them up so the steam doesn't water them down. The best!

Although it has gone down-hill from what it used to be, Szechuan Kitchen still has the best Chinese food for its price anywhere outside of Chinatown. Their classics are the Sesame Noodles and Szuchuan Chicken w. Peanuts.

Incredible. I order out from here up to once a week. Definitely try the eggplant in garlic sauce!

Scechuan Kitchen was perhaps the best Chinese restaurant in Manhattan during the late 70's to mid-90's. It was located at 76th & 1st in a tiny space. There food was simply amazing. Very creative and ultra-tasty dishes. Their Ginger Shrimp was food that inspired dreams. They still have it in their current location, but the shrimp is mealy and tasteless. A couple of dishes taste similar to the glory days. Get the Hop Spiced Spliced Chicken or the Diced Chicken with Peanuts. THE ABSOLUTE BEST ITEM ON THE MENU is the HOT SESAME NOODLES. What a spectacular taste. Just as good as ever. In fact, truly one of the best restaurant items in all of Manhattan.
