We Love this place, the food is amazing without doubt the best in new york, you always feel like you are getting the very best never an 'off night' here. The fried wontons are simply delicious and the soups are excellent especially the hot and spicy, the entrees are huge easily enough for two people. The dishes are perfectly seasoned everytime. The staff are great, always friendly and efficient. Shame its only take out.

I take out this place for lunch every few days. Great value, get the diced chicken and peanuts. The chicken is actually real, tender, well cooked chicken!

Tried a sampler of items for takeout to have over a few days... young chow fried rice ... good but WAY too salty Szechuan Wontons and Sesame noodles... both had the same peanut butter glop on top. It was like overcooked chocolate pudding, very gummy, so much that you couldn't even pull the wontons out of it. Bubbles that were in it from heating were still on top.

I have been a customer of this Rest. since 1976. I will say that the food is not quite as good as it used to be... however it is still the best damned Chinese food I have ever eaten. We live in NJ and travel in often to take out (bummer). We compare every NJ Chinese Rest against Szechuan Kitchen and they all fail miserbly. Im picking up an order tonite... Well worth the trip. Hopefully they will someday open a Szechuan Kithen in Bergen County NJ.

given the fact that everything around me stinks to high heaven, this place gets some credit for having food that rises a bit above the others. though i gotta say, i really didn't like the beef special. it presented itself like a frozen dinner. the sauce was overly corn starched and sweet. the shredded pork wasn't bad. iI' about to check them out again so hopefully i will find something good.

Recommended by a friend who has lived here on the UES for 20 years. I believe its the best Chinese you can find in the area. Only drawback is that its take out only.

Delicious and fast. Will change meals for your desires, not just soupy mixtures. real veggies and meats. Glad they are now open 7 days/week. Never get tired of.
