Best peanut butter wantons ever!
My family ate at the restaurant in the late 80's during special occasions and my dad always had the peanut butter wontons and that's the only thing that I can remember ever having. I guess they where that good.lol I Recently ate at the new takeout spot they have and damn those wontons were as spicy and yummy as when I was 5 years old. PS the spring rolls where off the hook too!

Seconded... this place is great, and they cleaned up to boot
I'm with BradB. I eat here, like, every week, and they look like they cleaned up. No better place to get my Chinese fix on the UES.

C Rating is Under Review- See Ya C
Love this place. Been eating at least once a week since 1970's on 76 st. When I picked up my lunch order last week, I saw they were no longer flaged with a "c". Under Review it said. And I may add the place looked spotless. It appears a major clena up may have been done.

They got a "C" from NYC restaurant inspector
I am *so* bummed that they got a "C" from the NYC restaurant inspector (in January of 2011). You can check this out online (nyc.gov). Critical violation was "Food not protected from potential source of contamination during storage, preparation, transportation, display or service," which I don't even want to think about. This sucks because I was (and sort of still am) a huge fan. The food is so good tasting, and it comes so quickly. I'm sure they'll keep on going, and I really hope they don't go out of business, but it's so rare to see a "C" rated restaurant/food place in the city that it'll make me think twice next time. Eww. But so yummy. Ewwwwyummy. I hate that I love ordering from this place.
