    Best Chinese food in Manhattan

The food, eating in the restaurant at dinner time, is just great. Lamb in cumin / chile is amazing. The stir fried chicken with chile is very, very good. Expect spicy and you won't be disappointed. I think that many of the bad reviews were from people who ordered for delivery. I have no idea what the food quality is like when they deliver. But the food in the restaurant is just the best. Don't confuse this restauant with one of the same name on W. 56th Street. Different menu. Different quality.

let me save you from the misery

Let me start by saying that I'm Jewish and have been living in Murray Hill for 10 years (shocker I know...) so I think I'm qualified to rate Chinese food in this town. Over the years I've enjoyed the highs of Chinese cuisine (Wild Ginger in the 20's...Closed) as well as the lows. I can say without any hesitation that I have just experienced possibly the most inedible, Chinese food in the city. I've had better Chinese in London and believe me that’s a rough town for food. We ordered the standards and all the dishes arrived swimming in oil. Honestly it was a total disgrace. I ordered from this restaurant based on the reviews and I felt I had to save other unsuspecting diners from this travesty. Even in the oil they had no flavor, almost hard to do. The sesame chicken and the steak was tender but had absolutely no taste. So basically I could of gotten the same stomach ache drinking a bottle of cooking oil and would have saved the $60...Which I will need now as a co-pay at NYU to get my stomach pumped. I haven’t found the right replacement for my favorite place that closed 2 years ago but I will continue the hunt. Hey, it’s my religion, it’s what we do.

    I love this restaurant

At least once a week, I pick up my lunch from this restaurant. You cannot order American Chinese food & expect something special. You oder Szechuan food & it is HOT. People work here (I think they are family) want to serve you as soon as possible. I think they are very nice but they know me. I have seen the wife telling the customer to hurry up & order. It was funny. Her attitude was SPICY too. I love this restaurant.

    I can't believe they got 2 stars

I'm baffled as to how this restaurant got 2 stars. Further proof that Bruni is an idiot. Service was no good, decor is basically nothing. My husband and I went not long after it was reviewd just because we were so suprised by the stars. A few things were quite good, but not 2 stars good. The cold sesame noodles were delicious. We ordered 5 other things. 2 of them had the EXACT same sauce, even though on the menu it said 2 different types of sauces. The scallion pancakes were not good at all. Really really weird aftertaste. Not good. So, in summary, skip this place!

Simply the Best Chinese in NY

The best sichuan I've ever had. You absolutely must try the fish fillet in red chili pepper broth. If there's a better Chinese restaurant, I'm not aware of it.

Their quality is down, their price is up

I use to go there every week while my office was close by, but i still try to go there, but the over all quality :( food is not as good as before, i guess they change the chef, the portion is smaller so you could order more dishes, the price is 3-5 bucks up for each dish,we spent over 60 bucks and we don't really feel full, i don't know what happened to them? As quality like this,I would never ever go back, no way.
