Used to be much better!
Used to come to this place every so often for the past few years. Last time I went about a week ago, I was mortified to see what had happened to the place. It must be under new ownership or something, because the service and quality have taken a nose dive. What used to be excellent service and 'plentiful' portions have turned into rude, forgetful waitstaff, and serving 'less' food than the menu even states in the order, while jacking up the price of 'said meal'. What used to be a fun place to come and have a traditional 'german' meal with saurkraut, slaw and various delicacies has now been shorthanded and given 're-used' vegetable slices' from previous appetizers that have also been cut back. "Example - The waiters quickly took away a plate that had certain tomato and cucumber slices, and I kid you not...the same exact portion was given for the entree "instead" of what is supposed to be accompanying the meal. Never again will I go into Swiek. Which is sad, since it used to be a quality place, which is now just a former shell of its old self. Stick to Schnitzel Haus on 5th Ave. for a better experience.
