    Great Find!

My best friend and her boyfriend had recommended Sweetiepie to me when I told them I wanted a cozy, warm and light place to have dinner and dessert with some of my girl friends and it could not have been more perfect. The whimsical décor made us reminisce and feel young again…always a plus! I was a bit early so I decided to have a drink at the bar. I loved the bright pink cushioned chairs and I couldn’t get over the whimsical nine-foot brass birdcage in the front window...I would love to have dinner in there with my boyfriend! The candlelit décor also made the restaurant have a romantic side to it and made me think that it could be a great date place as well. We ordered the Sweetiepig to share – it’s a giant ice cream sundae that was out of this world! But if I was with my boyfriend I would have totally ordered the Sweetiepiglet or Banana Split to share with him. Overall all my friends and I had a great experience at this place. The service was good, food was great and décor was out of this world! I would definitely go back to this place, perfect for a girl’s night out or a romantic date. Sweetiepie brings a sense of magic to dining out.

    Food wasn't bad....

No sooner had I been seated, I was asked to move as a "large party" was expected and had "reserved" the area. The manager mumbled something about comping my drink which didn't happen. I wasn't at all surprised when I finished my meal and saw that the section remained empty. That being said, my meal was better than I expected. The Chicken noodle soup was tasty and reminded of the soup they had at EJ's luncheonette. The Fish and Chips were nicely done and my waiter was eager to please. I'm not likely to go back soon if they keep up that sort of "attitude"

    Great for Brunch!

A friend and I went for brunch on a Sunday and I was nicely surprised. The food was yummy. Had the fish and chips. Just enough! The had the mini ice cream cones which topped of the meal nicely. Great mint lemonade in very cute glasses. Was a little thrown off my the two waiters that served us. Was not sure who was working with us, but found out that that is their thing. Why have just one person wait on you when you can ask anyone for service. Thoughtful! I like this style of service. I enjoyed the atmosphere and especially liked the bird cage. There is a room in the back that is nice for parties. It could use a window. I really enjoyed my experience and will go again. It would be nice to see what it looks like in the evening.

    Pretty cute place

This place is pretty cute. The food actually was better than I expected, after having read many reviews on it prior to going. It was a bit expensive and they were understaffed. Other than that, it is mainly the atmosphere I think people go for. It is a cute, romantic place to go.

    not good at all

Started with passive aggressive hostess who was utterly snarky about us not having a reservation and then still couldn’t manage a table when we patiently waited - we did not complain about there being a wait but we still don’t expect a hostess to roll her eyes at you. Then we asked for bread at least 5 times - was told it was being "toasted" then it finally arrived cold - apparently it was being thawed because they use frozen bread. Our food was not good at all - while we were ok to pay whatever the jacked up prices were for the 'experience' - we were not expecting for example a pb&j on burnt wonder bread with the cheapest clear diner jelly and worst peanut butter ever - a better pb&j could have been had a corner deli. When we were asked if everything was "ok" and we mentioned the food our hostess looked appalled and essentially blamed us saying "this should not have been our experience" - as if she had never seen what actually is brought out by the kitchen - the burgers looked to be burnt with barley melted cheese slices and supermarket buns - the 'schnitzel' looked to be fried in week old oil - I have no idea why anyone who was there tolerated this At the end we had hoped, 'ok this is meant to be a cute soda shop’ and we'll have desert thinking they will redeem themselves - but this was not to be the case - my son's ice cream sundae arrived totally melted - it was soup. I do not recommend going here for any reason at all. It felt like such a rip off.

    slow but tastey

Though we were seated right away it took a while to get served. The steak salad was simple but the flavor of the meat was superb. The desserts are tiny (in a good way- they're cute). The prices are a bit high for what you get, but the atmosphere is really fun. You can enjoy the tops of people's heads in the mirror or laugh at people in the birdcage. I'd go back for sure.

    an average spot

beautiful place, a roayal service device put in motion, food is just not as expected from such a place, very dry of engridients and, the chicken noodle sucks. Service was Ok, actually was very warmhearted and thoughfull. I was there with my 2 doughters a week day for lunch, they loved it, me too, but do something about food, otherwise it is the top spot.
