This restaurant is a blessing for delivery. There aren't many restaurants to order from at decent price around my office (26th and 11th ave). My co-worker ordered from this place and I decided to try. The food is unexpensive: $5.50 for large portion, so large that you can easily share with somebody. They have a large range of vegetarian options which comes first on menu right after the appetizer. I've had so far the Samosa Chat which is more like an entree that an appetizer and the Bhindi Masala. The Bhindi Masala is like an explosion of flavors. It is so fresh (fresh tomatoes, fresh okras, fresh ginger, fresh cilantro). I haven't enjoyed lunch like this for a while. The person on the phone was very nice and took the time to explain the dishes, he was very efficient. The delivery didn't take more than 30 minutes. I shared my lunch with my coworker because it was way too much food for one meal.

I was disappointed when my order got to the apt. I wont order from there again. There was no taste to the food. I even had my boyfriend try it because I was in disbelief. He also said that that it was flavorless.

This is the best Indian delivery food in our area. I have never been to the restaurant. My husband always comes home for dinner when he knows I am ordering Indian. Always accommodating and helpful. I wanted to try something new on the menu they spent time explaining the dish to me. And the value is superb, they don't fill the containers only half way. They are always full of great food and sauces. Thank you!

My favorite indian place closed down and it took me a year to find Swagat. Now my new favorite for Indian food in NYC. Delicious and not overly expensive. I always judge my Indian food on 3 items. Naan, Vegetable Samosas, and Tandoori Chicken Tikka... amazing is the best description. The Samosas arent too spicy, just fantastic. The Chicken Tikka can be dry but I like that better than the Masala version. Naan, cold upon delivery but still soft and i would guess way better if hot. I order here once a week now, lol.

Very kind ordering staff and seriously the best indian food! I called after I received my delivery to tell them just how delicious it was. This is the first time I'm writing a review and that was the first time I called a place with a compliment! It was a little pricey maybe - but I also ordered a lot!

Price and taste are better than most of the places on Lex or the Village. Great lunch special, great for veg. One of my go-to places.
