Best Indian ever
Very kind ordering staff and seriously the best indian food! I called after I received my delivery to tell them just how delicious it was. This is the first time I'm writing a review and that was the first time I called a place with a compliment! It was a little pricey maybe - but I also ordered a lot!

Best Indian around
Price and taste are better than most of the places on Lex or the Village. Great lunch special, great for veg. One of my go-to places.

Am I the only one who was disappointed?
Based on all the positive feedback on this site I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the chicken vindaloo with plain na'an. The delivery was quick, however the delivery man did not have change and I had to run to a store. When I got back to my office I saw that the sauce was very much watered down and I was missing my na'an. I will not order from this place again.

who knew?
cannot believe that i never knew of this place for 2 years i've been working in the area!! it's a low-key indian restaurant that serves everything on plastic or paper plates with plastic utensils if you eat in, but the food is really good! my favorite is masala dosa, southern indian crepe-ish food stuffed with potatoes. you don't really find it in many places. i think they give you more food when you do takeout, but whatever. it's cheap, fast, and delicious.

fabu cheap indian that tastes way more expensive.
this place has some of the least-ghee laden chicken tikka masala in the area, which is excellent. beautiful basmati rice too, if you are going for the standard. plain & garlic naan are out of this world. je t'aime, swagat! vraiment, le lunch special a $6.5 est vraiment chic sans etre cher.

living in this area has its advantages... as long as you get your order in by closing time, swagat will make you happy. they have INSANELY GOOD chicken vindaloo and great naan. their prices are california-cheap and the service is ridiculously good... when i called to order the first time, i asked if they had chicken pakora, and was told no, it's not on the menu. they called me back 1 minute later and offered to make it anyway! GREAT SERVICE. great food. and awesome delivery.

Big Improvement, Great Taste
Im so glad that I gave this place a second chance. Delicious Curry Lamb, by far the best ive had from a small place like this. Big chunks of lamb, nice sauce, not heavy but very tasty and well seasoned. Also fast delivery for a Saturday in this area. Looking forward to try something else from there soon!
