Great Little Restaurant
Delivery has been dependable and we can eat in with confidence that we are being served good quality meats freshly cooked. We recommend this little restaurant to all.

Awesome Experience
I have to say - this was the best food I have ever had. I usually dread eating chicken curry because of the quality of the meat - however, Swagat's chicken is superior to all the rest - all white meat, yummy! The service was fabulous - we felt like royalty - we were waited on hand and foot from the moment we walked in to the time we left. Just lovely! I highly recommend their lamb dishes too - and guess what - they can spice it up or down depending on your tastebuds. I also live iin the neghborhood and had such a great experience that I ordered from them the other night - the food was hot and amazing at home - delivered within 15 minutes.... Go to Swagat!

Great Food, Friendly service, Great valu
In my opinion the best Indian restaurant on upper West Side. Delivery is fast and Swagat's food travels well.

Hard to Beat
Did you ever noticve how the food at ALL indian restaurants tastes the same? Well, as Swagat, you can get a great tasting meal that isn't like the Typical Indian Restaurant food fare. You can get all your favorite meals, except they'll taste BETTER! My girlfriend and I came to Swagat on a Saturday night. My girlfriend had never tried Indian Food before, unlike me, who is hooked on the stuff. I was kind of wary of taking her to Swagat, as it was the first time I was going to try it. But right from the start, I was excited to be there with her. The restaurant itself is pretty small, but it is cozy and the decor is nice. When we ordered the food, it was unlike any other restaurant I had been to! It was great. Unlike other Indian Restaurants, it tastes more like home-cooked Indian Food. The food isn't commercialized for sales purposes. The chef ( a genious for cooking this food up) goes light on the heavy cream, which is great for people like my girlfriend who go on diets even if they don't need to. The food has an authentic taste to it. So if you're sick of the same tikka masala taste or the same vegetable korma taste, or even if you aren't, come to Swagat. You'll like the food better.

Disappointing
I ordered in and was disappointed with both the food and the service. Not only was the food bad but it took more than an hour to arrive and we only live a few blocks away. It certainly was not worth the wait.

Disappointing Delivery Experience
Food arrived lukewarm despite being only a few blocks away. Also came without plastic utensils. Taste of food was OK but nothing special. Will not be ordering from them again.

Not recommended
I happen to be indian, I brought my mom to this place thanks to your great reviews.. what a disappointment. The food had that taste to it. They had to have made it earlier and then just heated it up. My mom, who happens to be an awesome cook, was pretty much disappointed with the food.
