I have eaten so much Chinese food in my life. For basic Americanized Chinese food that I crave all the time, Suzie's in unmatched in terms of delivery, speed, and quality. Obviously you can get more authentic dishes if you head down to Chinatown, but for your basic tastes, Suzie's is the best and every time I try a new place to test one out or change it up, I'm always annoyed that I did. I love their egg roll wrapper, too, it's so nice and chewy/crispy in one...I'm hungry

of my new york dining for cheap experience. the chicken w/broc is the best i've had. my 3 year addiction stays strong. also, for delivery (even as far down as chinatown) they are remarkably prompt, never had an order messed up. love it.

I used to love this place, but the past few times I've been, it hasn't tasted near as good. I think that would explain the last reviewer's comment about how it's not all it's cracked up to be. I'm not sure what happened, but it's kind of depressing.

People evangelize this place as if it were the second coming, when in reality it's a pretty average Chinese place with good service. Suzie's is great for a serviceable, cheap lunch special, but not much else.

pretty much the most important reason to live in the neighborhood instead of heading to the outer burroughs for cheaper rents

this is above average food at a good price. this is my favorite place, and if this place isnt open i have to settle for wok and roll down the street. i always give a warm hello and good bye to the people who work there because you can tell they are friendly and family oriented. while its nice to sit up front by the windows i opt for the back, for more room and privacy. once i went there with a group of five ppl, all from different backgrounds and theres enough variety for everyone to enjoy something good. food good with a drink or two. and when i get take out i like to pair it with mikes hard lime, good contrast of sweet or salty food with the tartness of the drink. i totally would suggest giving susies a try

Rachel and I lived next door to Suzies' on Bleecker Street (near Washington Sq. Park) for years. We always loved the vegetarian General Tsao's Chicken. Pan-fried dumplings are great too. And neither of us are easy to please. When it comes to restaurants, many on Bleecker Street are not as good as they may seem from the outside.... We moved to California in 1998 and missed Suzie's take-out ever since. We're back in town for a visit in 2007 and are very happy to learn that Suzie's will deliver to our hotel (55 Church Street downtown). Can't wait to get our General Tsao's chicken! - Rach and Otis
