    Down the tubes

After many years of ordering from here, I came back from living abroad and wow, what a disappointment. cloying sauce that is overly sweet and sickening. forced myself to eat three bites and then threw it away. i thought is american chinese really this bad? luckily, i had my fix days later at a recommended place in the east village. Spend your money elsewhere, sorry Suzie's, your service is prompt but your food is pathetic.

Not what it used to be

I used to order from Suzie's every Sunday. It was my go-to place for consistent Chinese food that was high quality with freakishly fast delivery. The past few months the quality of the food has gone done immensely with the chicken being slimy, some pieces hard to chew, and just plain unappetizing. I really hope they return to the old quality of meat, bc I've already begun ordering elsewhere. Disappointed!

    Cold Food

Visited this restaurant last week for lunch. There were 4 in our party and all the food that came was cold, especially the rice, it was almost like it came out of the fridge, not good considering it wasn't busy.... we were the first group of customers to arrive! Will not be returning.

We ordered their Bok Choy twice, and both times it was saturated in greasy oil they sauted it in. My husband ordered General Tao Chicken from them. It use to be sticky burnt orange spicy sweet and crunchy. The last 3 times we ordered it stunk of vinegar, watery consistency, chicken was yellow in color, that reminded me more of sweet and sour chicken - but when the last time this happened to us, we called to complain, because the time before that it was the same, and we didn't want to make a fuss. This third time around, was the last time, we won't be ordering from Suzies again

    Slow

Suzies is good until they get busy. Then the wheels seem to fall off. I have had several occasions where I waited 45 min for a delivery only to receive cold & greasy food and sometimes the wrong food. Try to order off peak & you should b fine

I never write on-line reviews, but in this case I feel it is a civic duty. I've had better Chinese food in a suburban shopping mall. We ordered a house special beef dish which was made using a cheap cut of stew meat -- totally inedible unless you have the eyeteeth of a jaguar. A soupy, syrupy sauce and low-budget vegetables completed the dish. A vegetarian version of General Tso's was even worse.

    Excellent string beans

I find the food really good. I hardly ever eat at the actual restaurant but I order from there a lot. The food goes well with a good movie and the string beans are off the charts! There are generous helpings of food and it is consistently satisfying ( or more than satisfying). I live in the neighborhood and Suzie's never fails to give me a good meal! Hard to stop eating / ordering there once you start.
