lively group of sushi chefs improve the already delicious sushi. black cod pot is warm and filling and great value for its price.

2 hours wait for this?
I waited over two hours and somehow the total price was much higher than when we calculated it. This food is way overpriced, totally mediocre. I will never order from here again. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Great Sushi & Excellent Service
This place is GREAT - the only downside is that it might ruin all other sushi restaurants for you! The sushi is incredibly fresh and innovative (try any of the belly-licious rolls - they definitely live up to their name). The owner and waitstaff are super friendly and attentive. The restaurant is charming and fun :)

simply incredible
Where to begin? Suteishi features some of the freshest sushi and sashimi I’ve experienced along with unique fusion rolls and an extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff. My waiter recommended a cold, sweet sake that blended perfectly with my sashimi. I found their food to be authentic and, surprisingly, homemade. I was shocked to learn that the miso soup, fusion sauces, and even their low sodium soy sauce is all made right at the restaurant! My friend enjoyed her hot food but I believe the sushi bar to be Suteishi’s real strength. I was hesitant to try the Suteishi Pearl specialty roll after learning that it had fried oysters but it was AMAZING. Afterward, walk a block to the water’s edge for the best view of the Brooklyn Bridge the city has to offer.

really charming, great food!
I went for dinner last night and had loved the hot and crispy shrimp! the server also recommended toro, which I had for the first time. yum! service was friendly. the bill was not cheap, but I'm willing to pay for quality food. we will be back.

a cut above and consistently so
despite decent reviews of other financial district sushi joints, this place is the only one we've found that is truly top notch ad doesn't disappoint. We like Nobu, so it's hard to enjoy the Sushi anyplace else, but this place is very good. It's a bit pricey for the portion sizes of dishes, especially "hot rocks," but I can't argue with the quality of the food on the menu. It's located on a charming stretch of the Seaport so it's nice to go and eat there, but the delivery is efficient, and we do not live a stone's throw from the restaurant.

Wonderful Service
If you appreciate good service and fresh sushi, try this place out. I went today for a business lunch and it was great. It was busy. We waited 5 minutes to sit 4 (not bad). The servers were extremely friendly - a rarity in this city - which made the experience even better. The sushi was fresh and, at times imaginitive. Small portions, not cheap. If you enjoy a clean and friendly atmosphere - with a great view and open air restaurant - this is the place.
